- We take a look at how to do a Corporate Portrait on location. So let's take a look at Lens Choice, Camera Settings, Print Surface and Lighting for a Corporate Portrait on Location. Special thanks to Saal Digital that's sponsoring this segment of The Slanted Lens. We're really excited to be here. And the Anderson Ballard Companies is allowing us to photograph each of them. Then we're going to give them a beautiful print when we're done.

That company your photographing, everyone there has a beautiful smile.
They were great to work with!
I've been photographing for years and this has been so very helpful
Glad you found the video so helpful!
This was really wonderful. I do corporate portraits pretty frequently and still got a lot out of this - thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience!
You're so welcome! Glad it was helpful!
How would you recommend getting some corporate headshot jobs?
Great content! Your HSS video helped me to create a wonderful portrait of my grandsons and their friends in their backyard! Next week, I have a small company headshot session -- 3 people (individually and a group) and they want it outdoors. Again, you've given me the techniques to use to make this a successful session. Question: I was going to rent a 70-200mm lens. Will that work for me? I only own an 85mm and a 24-70mm presently. Again, thank you!
this is gold thank you, just one thing I find myself having to shoot wider or 1:1 frame because on the website the frame can be a circle and they need more background space.
Very useful video - Thanks J.
Glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching!
Thank you!!!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
super video !
Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for your comment!
Great content, as always! I particularly liked your problem-solving with that sink edge.
But - if I may: HAWN-uh-MOO-luh or HAWN-uh-MYOO-luh for extra points.
LOL, Great tip! Thanks for that!
❤
@ 7:10 for Hanna's shots , don't you turn ladies' body away from light and face towards it to slim them while males you hit them square with main light?
Great video as always. I am wondering though, how many images do you take of each subject? Do you have a number in your mind you shoot to or does it depend on each individual as to how quickly you get "the one"?
I would say we shoot between 30-50 shots per person.
Your outdoor shoots are always interesting and instructional, Thanks for sharing this portrait outing. At 8:14 you said, I always tell students when I'm working with groups if you can touch your light it’s in the wrong place. Not sure what you mean by "working with groups" since this is a shoot for individual portraits. Maybe you simply mean "for an interesting and flattering light, if you can touch your light it’s in the wrong place. Is that it? Thanks.
I was referring to the group of students. And yes, if you put the light off to the side it is more interesting and flattering.
I like this outdoor portrait. How do you ensure that the images are reproducible? If there are new employees, they should look the same.
That is a good point. This one would be unless the company moves. A good thing to consider when doing company portraits.
Great information! Waiting on my FJ400’s now. Looks like I might need a 3rd one at some point. Do you reach out to companies for their business or are you in a position where they are coming to you?
These days they come to us, but in the past we promoted through social and mail.
@@TheSlantedLens what do you charge?
Also @ 10:07 this is a feminine position of the head , he should tiit in the opposite direction vertical on his shoulder line….if I am wrong plz correct me.
Ufff, very nice tutorial, thank you, could you explain color grading if you di any on another video?
Are you asking about video color grading or adjusting color in still images?
@@TheSlantedLens adjusting the color on still images
Hey, I was wondering what would you charge for this type of shoot?
Check out this video for some advice on pricing: th-cam.com/video/zGVjZ7z0Nio/w-d-xo.html
I like the way you broke up the background. It would have been quite distracting with a solid white wall behind, the way you've done it doesn't even show.
Thank you. Glad you found it helpful!
200 DOLLAR PER PERSON 🤣
Thanks for watching and keep on clickin!
Why are you laughing? 200 too little?
