We sit down and talk to Xabi Alonso about the time he spent at Liverpool. Alonso speaks about his role within the team, how easy he settled in the club and why he chose to join Liverpool over other potential suitors.
Alonso joined Liverpool in 2004 and was with the Reds till 2009 before moving to Real Madrid. The Spaniard won both the Champions League and FA Cup whilst he was on Merseyside.

Manchester United fan but Xabi Alonso is one of my all time favourite players. Absolutely world class midfielder and won everything he deserved to win
He was the player who always assisted the assist. (Real Madrid 2011. Xabi > Özil > Cristiano goal). His passing was only matched by Pirlo.

Gracias senor Alonso, a class player who was worthy of the red shirt. At times ,it was when Gerrard was not in team for whatever reason that Xabi showed his world class credentials. Great player.

Yet they were pushing for that ultimate clasico final, they wanted it so bad they were willing to wait no matter how long it took. Just look at this year's quarterfinal, messi and ronaldo on opposite brackets again.

Gerrard led Liverpool from 0-3 against AC Milan to 3-3. Alonso scored the equaliser goal but Gerrard's first goal was the trigger.
Alonso has always been incredible player, but he had never became such inspiring captain.
