That is why the United Kingdom is described as Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Great does not mean great, wonderful. By the way I have no idea why British athletes at the Olympics etc have GB on their tracksuits and not UK. GB excludes Northern Ireland which is part of the UK/Britain
