    Am an autobody technician for 22 years and I enjoy fixing wrecked cars, but restoration of classic cars is a joy and an excitement on another level.

    It amazes me the amount of balls you have for taking on this project by yourself and ACTUALLY doing it right! You are a beast man, cant wait for this thing to be ready to rip!

    The perfect medium between thrown together TH-cam builds like "B is for build" and detail oriented work like "Projekt Binky". Great work as always.

    Just WOW Jeff. It's amazing how much awesome work you've done on the Alfa so quickly. Lets face it, there is a LOT of metal restoration and fabrication involved even with the aftermarket replacement panels. Really loving this build coming together, perhaps moreso than the porsche. I reckon your skills have come a leaps and bounds since then, even since the Dato.

    The sheet metal on the front of this car looked like cottage cheese that had been sitting in the sun. No more though. The way you tear into bodywork is really something to see. Very impressive. It's going to look so good as it emerges from the cloud of tire smoke.

    Wow - what a wonderful job he is doing. This thing will be a beast. they only weigh 1040kgs with that extra muscle - a real brute. Just hope the weight up front wont upset the handling too much. To me that would be a real tragedy. His detail work is astounding. What sort of gearbox was that? This is a true Keeper.

    You sir a very talented and capable man. I did some body work when I was in my 20s. I loved the sheet metal aspect. Creating patches or puting on rear quarters. Welding things in the metal dressing it into one piece. That pinch spot welder is pretty slick.

  • @richardhintonracing
    @richardhintonracing 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You need a medal for just taking this on never mind the complexity of the engine change - it will of course be far too good to use and really ought to end up in a glass case in a museum . Far too precious to go on the road. very much like Binky.

    Documenting "and so it began..." The difference here is Jeff actually finishes a project in an amazingly short amount of time. I try to find a couple of hours here and there and I'm a lightweight-it hot in the texas sun and I find it hard to weld and grind metal with sweat in my eyes.
