- This is my POV test drive (as a passenger) of the 2023 Microlino. The electric Microlino is a mix between a car and a motorbike. It comes with different battery packs (6, 10.5 or 14 kWh) and has an electric range between 95 and 230 km.

Great product only one major problem it’s too expensive. Price should be $ 10.000 or even less. Otherwise a great product. Soon made in China, Vietnam or India at $5.000.
I wonder how many have been produced and delivered to customers. It be nice to see more people's opinion of the Microlino after actually owning them.
A friend of mine received his one just today. I'll in it ride it tomorrow! He was among the first who ordered one. The delivery date got pushed back several times.

Just noticed that the steering wheel is between the driver's knees rather than above them. I'm not sure I'd like this because of less space to move your legs to avoid cramp say. I have a reservation but it could be a long time before it reaches the UK.

Great fun! Problem in the UK is that it would get destroyed by, or disappear into our current world beating pot holes.
The front door being the only entrance to the car isn't a big safety issue? What if someone crashes with the front of the car? (it could happen, couldn't it?)
It's a bit frightening...
I think there's a sun roof too, so that's another escape option.
I’ve been watching the microlina for what seems like years now, and still not seen any in private ownership, when do you think that we will be able to see them in the UK 👍🏻😁
They are apparently arriving very shortly. Owner said brexit delayed it by years.

I would love to have such nice car but much more narrower (parking on motorcycle places) and much more powerful (German highways unlimited speed)... 4 wheels drive. Fast charging! That would be my dream car for 2 people.
The closest you could get to that is a Renault Twizy 80, problem is, it goes only 80km/h…
I was really considering buying one next year. Is a testdrive in Belgium or neighboring countries already possible? btw; Knokke would be the perfect place to drive this 'car' instead of a golf cart ;-)
D'Ieteren is going to import the Microlino starting in 2023 so testdrives should be possible in a couple of months.
@@carstanpovdriving Called them already but nobody on the phone knows anything about it. All they say; "Yes sure but which brand is the car?", kind of funny but actually not 🙂...
On Micro's site i've read that there's a Microlino store in Brussel. Not sure if they do test drives though.
Yes, I already drove the microlino, Great drive but even more expensive in Belgium than elsewhere in Europe, which doesn't sit well with me... I have booked a test drive with the silence S04 in a month...

This was during the Zoute Grand Prix in Knokke-Heist (Belgium). It’s an event with lots of supercars as you can see. And then there was this Microlino as well. 😀

Is there heating in it in cold days?
1.2kw heater i think it said, atleast it has one, think thats pretty good when you think of those large reptile heating mats are 100 watts, this has 12x the power of those, though if you had it on at full power for an hour that would burn like one - 15th of the batterys power. so probably only save it for those really cold days

Ik zie dat deze ingeschreven is in Belgie (omgeving Knokke of De Haan ?).
Wordt dit als Moto aanzien ? Ik zie een (M)nummerplaat.
Deze wordt bekeken als quad zover ik de wetgeving kan verstaan. Vandaar heb je dus ook geen helm nodig en zijn de veiligheidseisen een stuk lager.
In belgie wordt dit inderdaad aanzien als een moto, eigenlijk als een quad, maar het volgt de europese regelgeving over de "light quadricycle L7E" welke de lidstaten moeten omzetten in nationale regelgeving. De eerste massa geproduceerde L7E was de Renault Twizy. Hier moet wel een waarschuwing bij ; omdat de regelgeving door de lidstaten moet omgezet worden, bestaan er verschillen tussen de lidstaten betreffende de applicabele regels. Zo is het bijvoorbeeld in Frankrijk verboden voor een L7E om op snelwegen te rijden (dit in tegenstelling tot Belgie). Dus vooraleer de landsgrenzen over te steken, beter eerst checken aan welke regels je moet voldoen (welkom in de europese eenheidsmarkt).

How long does it take to get to 90 km/h and how terrifying is it to drive it on the motorway ?
Haven't had a chance to test its top speed. Not sure if I want to tbh...
Straight run, good. What about twisting steep roads in and out of little villages ... or even busy city centres where others push you out of the way. Like to see that.

Credo proprio di no. E' non ha la potenza e il peso minimo permesso per guidarla in autostrada, anche se la velocità non è un problema.
Does it have a REVERSE drive mode ? .. ( the original BMW did not .... causing untold misery when driving into a domestic garage ... right up to the back wall ! ! ) .......... DAVE™🛑
Ist das Getriebegeräusch wirklich so laut, wie es in dem Video zu hören ist? Das wäre sehr peinlich und bei diesem Premiumpreis (mit guten Akku 20K€) eigentlich nicht mehr akzeptabel. Schade...

@@carstanpovdriving Can you make an autostrade video? Focus on max speed. - It is obvious this not a car car is not ideally for that use. But the question is of it is doable. Or technically allowed but a very bad idea. - If it is a hard 90 kpm then you will be overtaken by trucks. If it gets a bit faster you should be mostly manage on the slow lane. - And how badly is the speed drop if the road goes a bit upwards?
My only problem is the door in front..

Knokke-Heist during the Zoute Grand Prix. Always a lot of luxury cars there, but it was kinda crazy that day yeah.

I expected to be informed about the vehicle. I'm a bit disappointed.
A test drive isn't a review. I wasn't allowed to drive it yet so I couldn't make my usual reviews which are on my other channel btw. There you can also find a video and a short about the Microlino with more details.

they should have went with hub motors.... that gearbox sounds like a cheap chinese garbage ( and maybe it is who knows) That geardrive will wear out in no time too...how awful...
Hub motors are a bad choice for light vehicles. The ride quality would be unbearable.
