- Billy got a new Bike.. Jamis Ventura A1 2020.. An inside look at My New Bicycle 😎.. My First Bike Ride.. "Sweet".. "Wicked Awesome".. Also picked up a New Garmin 530 so far I am Thrilled with it..
Waxhaw, NC is a Awesome little town.. 30 minutes South of Charlotte, NC.. Lots to see.. Great Restaurants, Coffee Shops, an a Brewery called.. "Dreamchaser's Brewery".. Maybe a Video Idea.. On the town of Waxhaw, NC..
And One Great Bike Shop.. See Teelo Teeling at the "Bike Depot".. He will hook you up... Plus, they have the "Champagne Ride" every Saturday morning.. Usually 3 to 4 different speed groups.. Usually 30 to 60 people show up.. Especially during nice weather.. Spring, Summer, & Fall.. everyone is Friendly & Welcoming... Lots of quiet country roads... Cane Creek Park not far..

I own a blue Scott Aspect 950 (2019), I want to buy Jamis Ventura A1, same as yours in 61 frame. And then, maybe I will modify my Scott into a gravel, because for off-road travels with huge height and weight of rider, you still need a full suspension. And a gravel bikes have a different character from a road bikes, but I still think, that a best choise for it will be a chro-mo steel frame.

Only 9 gears, this 2020, 11 is the norm !
You are right.. there’s a lot of bikes that do have 10 to 11 gears.. but I've notice 2 things.. I usually didn't use all the gears.. plus I was trying to stay on a budget.. At this price point it had other things that were more important.. I am happy with 9 gear rear cassette... I've already put in over 300 miles... Have a Great Day..
11 gears components cost twice more. For amateur even 8 gears are sufficient

Rock in Kyiv One more thing.. I picked up bike on February 29th.. my first bike ride on March 7th.. I’m averaging 100 miles a week.. no issues.. even did 80 miles one day.. TH-cam video posted.. I’m loving it.. Glad I bought bike..🚴♂️😎
Hey how is the ride on 28 tires?
No Issues.. I've ridden over a 1000 miles in 3 months.. .. I actually road 67 miles today.. No Flats.. No Issues... No regrets...
Reason why I ask is I may put 32 on the bike am on the heavy side,and I like to know is this bike made in china or Twain, how jamis quality compare to trek and specialized. thks
@@leonblack751 One of the reasons I bought the Bike cause it had room for 32cc tires.. not much room for bigger tires.. I ride this bike a lot.. no flats.. I am Jinxed now.. Ha Ha.. I am not sure where it was built.. I am pretty sure easy to find.. It was in my Budget.. Good Luck..
I did forget one thing... my New Jamis Ventura A1 weighs only 21 pounds.. over 5 pounds less than my Cannondale T700... A Big bonus alone...

I just finished looking at the Jamis.. I am not an expert.. but I see brazens on Front & Back for fenders.. now that being said I think if you stayed with 28mm you should be able to have fenders.. if you get 32mm tires.. I don't think it will work... Good Luck.. Billy Bikes...
Hey Billy I just got back the bike road fantastic but the owner was a dick I say to him I like the bike but the pedals no good ,plus I can do 900.00 and he say oh no bike is 979.So I said ok and walk out.I get one some how Billy even if its 2021.You made a great choice Jamis is the bomb.
Pedals was the first thing I took off.. It was the only thing I didn't like...

Billy how is the quality of the bike?
I am happy with this bike.. No issues.. after riding the bike 67 miles on Saturday.. I biked 27 miles on Monday... I would buy this bike again... I am really happy with it... I would of rode more.. but it's been raining a lot... I bought it from a local bike shop I trust.. I bought Jamis Ventura A1 without a test ride... Good Luck.. for the money.. it was a good buy.. I did not get a discount on bike.. I paid full price..
One more thing.. you should watch my 80 mile bike ride video.. I rode the Jamis bike.. awesome ride.. no issues.. I only had the bike 2 weeks...
Great ,but I got one Concern is the sizing am 6 feet and 1 inch ,and I found s bike shop that Carrie's of 61cm and I was told by a different dealer I should be a 58cm.but the bike shop that has the 61cm said Jamie run small and I should be fine.I do know if you get the wrong size it's a terrible ride.whats your opinion on the sizes by jamis thks.

@@leonblack751 I fall in the category of a 54cm.. I always get a 54cm bike.. sizing can be scary.. if test riding is a option go for it.. do you have long legs...
