    This is good - both for technique and tool. I've not heard of the pipe cleaning attachment before (though my pressure washer is 20 years old, maybe they didn't have it then). Thanks!

    I’ve allways just used the lance and it’s blasted the much away and cleared and not had to connect the hose you used .

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's good. The advantage of the hose is that it can clear blockages further down the drain if needed.

      Was going to ask this myself. I cleared a load of mud out of mine and can still see water so I was about to by the hose but don’t think I need to now. You saved me €70 so thanks. Great video !

    Is it better to insert the hose in the gutter drain, or lifting up the manhole and inserting it via the other end?

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I went in from the gutter drain because mine leads into the main drain and this was the only part that was blocked. I don't think it really matters but you might find it difficult to access an individual branch of the drains unless the manhole is close by. Good luck 👍

    I have K4.99 but there is no control handle to connect with a drain cleaner. Can you help?

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's the same model as this www.karcheroutlet.co.uk/products/product.asp?id=4675# then the control handle/ trigger gun is shown connected to the machine by the hose. The bottom part of the lance disconnects by pushing it in and turning it 90 degrees. You should then be able to pull it out and fit the drain cleaner in it's place. I hope this helps 🙂

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't have a handle, this should fit the K4 99 M www.buyspares.co.uk/pressure-washer-pistol-handle/product.pl?pid=1891027 It's not cheap though and I would expect that you might find one for less on ebay

    Will Karcher K2 have sufficient power for drain use?

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will obviously depend on how bad the blockage is but I have cleaned drains with a K2 in the past.

      That's not good. Have you tried claiming on the warranty? When mine dies, I'll probably take a serious look at the Ava pressure washers from Norway. They have a 20 year guarantee and it looks like they use the same fittings as karcher so you don't need to buy new accessories.
