The more I learn about Bob Odenkirk, the more respect I have for him. He's been in the game for a long time and has done so much great work and it all led to his amazing performance as Saul Goodman and now he has his own show and movie. He's a hard worker and a great talent, and deserves all the attention he's getting right now, can't wait for season 6.
If you think back on some of the things you did and said - perhaps in your younger years - and you cringe and shudder at those things and the person you were: congratulations! That uneasy and cringy feeling means you have experienced growth as a human being.
I never had a job at SNL or anything but I look back at what an asshole I was in my 20s and how many great opportunities I squandered with my bad attitude.
Much like some recent work of Eddy Murphy's, Mr. Odenkirk is an excellent dramatic actor. Jimmy McGill's relationship w/his brother Chuck was one of the most incredible storylines I've ever watched, and the acting was oscar caliber.
This is what cannot be bought or taught.... Maturity. You HAVE to grow up. There is no other way to learn this. This is the striking difference between a person in their 20's and a person in their 50's. The kid in their 20's looks at the person in their 50's and just sees and old person..... We look at you and think, "So much to learn!". Listen to what Bob is talking about here and remember that when you berate an "old guy" because they are not "up on things" like you are. Remember, they don't care about that stuff anymore because they know better. How? Growing up.
Eh, I respect Bob’s honest self evaluation but that “chip on his shoulder” that was a liability at SNL was foundational for the genius of Mr Show so I’d call it worth it in the end 🤷🏾♂️
I hate to say it: but thank god he left snl and went to do Mr. Show with David Cross. It’s 100 billion times funnier writing than snl. That show to me is Bob Odenkirk.
You can tell how stressful SNL is by looking at how great the show is everytime Mulaney hosts. Mulaney does sketches that were never greenlit during his run at SNL.
@@hereticlife2546 I hear that and try to let it go, not easy when everybody has stolen from me and taken advantage of who i was back then. Now i protect myself with anger, which doesn't help because I realize how alone I am now and my attitude certainly doesn't attract people to me. Covid has just emphasized it like a welt under my eye

I love how much Odenkirk reflects on past actions where he was in the wrong. Really down to earth guy.

das wisdom baby
At least you figured it out before you died
Now just stop trying to touch people with your gross baby doll hands.
"experience is something you get right after you needed it"
I never dreamed I’d enjoy “Better Call Saul” but he sold me. He’s brilliant.
"It comes from insecurity."
It's so true... I wasted a lot of opportunities in my 20s...
Conan , Bob and Robert what a fuckin team. I couldn't even add up the amount laughs these dude have given me.

Love the Bob!
Why didn’t Lorne fire him with that attitude? Lol
That’s actually what I’m more interested in knowing
when you're in a room full of coworkers and can't figure out who the a=hole is, it's definitely possibly the guy next to u.
I fricken wish they would post longer clips. FOR THE FANS. Lol 🤔
He was always too talent for snl
Nobody is a great Flick.... You’ll Nerver Walk Alone

Robert Smigel!
Howard dressed like Bruce Lee
So does them being home effect how the show works for anyone else as far as comedy is concerned?
Oh my god, young Conan looks so wrong somehow...
swoozie
wow
