In 1981, this was ear porn for kids lol. Tipper Gore and her band of angry moms (with their stickers) were late to the Prince party when "Darling Nikki" came out 3 years later 😆. And "Head" came out a year before this! 😂
I live in a Minneapolis suburb, and Prince is, of course, from Minneapolis. He was quite beloved within the community of musicians and venue operators in the city, as he was always very supportive of that community without regard to how famous he had became nationally and internationally. When he was home, he would often show up at the local venues to see local bands, and though he was very private by nature, he always made himself visible enough to bring attention to the venue and the bands. It was also a not uncommon occurrence, when he was in town, for him to show up at a venue near closing time, and invite bands and their friends and close fans and venue employees to come to his home in Paisley Park for all night jams. The Minneapolis venue he's most closely associate with is called First Avenue, for all of the times he played there and for the fact that his movie, Purple Rain, was shot in and around that venue. All of this is to tell you about the night that it was announced that he had died. That night First Avenue began playing his music through their outdoor speaker systems, and a gigantic street party/memorial grew up over a few hours that drew thousands. There is a television news story, two minutes and forty-seven seconds in length, about the event with live footage that is here on TH-cam, if you're interested. The title of the video is; Thousands Gather To Celebrate Prince At First Avenue, and the channel it is on is WCCO - CBS Minnesota.
This song is perfection, flawless, a 10/10 ... it's classic essential Prince, everything you hear is Prince, the greatest musician of all time. He was a gift to the world. ❤
You should react to Prince Batdance & Partyman. It was the soundtrack for 1989 Batman film. Noticed your cool collection. Prince was also a Batman fan & Dc comics even featured him in their works.
credit is due to his mate Andre Cymone for this one however, Prince gave it his final touch and the arrangement is his but that ballad is definitely a collab project
@@daliinhiscoffin2493 yep I’m aware that Andre said this was initially his song amd give AC credit where is due. I haven’t heard the original song when it was just in AC’s hands, but I know what it became after P took hold of it, and it’s fantastic. :) thanks to Andre for birthing this lil baby.
❤❤❤❤ plus if you can locate the prince comic books around that time frame as well too because he did a comic book when it was the album 7 and he got the idea from the Batman soundtrack movie in comic books since he was a Batman fan as well too because I have the two comic books it might be hard to find at this time but I definitely have them
💜💜💜 Try "Let's Go Crazy", "1999", "Most Beautiful Girl In The World", "I Wanna Be Your Lover", "Gett Off" and "Diamonds And Pearls". I am assuming you have heard "Little Red Corvette" and "Raspberry Beret".
Before work track? Depends what kinda work you do! Yeah i wouldn't play this song out in public, let alone driving to work! Lol I would certainly play other Prince songs like "Let's Pretend We're Married", "D.M.S.R.", and "Controversy" these Prince songs were High energy dance tracks, great for road trips or driving to work.
If you’re going sexual, Head is at the top of that list. Especially his live performances. The best quality is I Wanna Be Your Lover and Head during the Parade tour. A must see.
He's doing EVERYTHING ... Writing , Arranging , Producing , and Performing.

I listened to this song 24-7. I was like 12 years old. What were my parents thinking?! Definitely Gen X.
I saw Prince on the Controversy Tour. The Time was the opener. You gotta do Controversy. It’s a banger!
Listening to Prince 24/7....my all time favorite musician all time favorite concert etc.
Anytime you feel like bumpin it 24/7. Its a thumping beat.

This album brought me into puberty.
😂😂
This was played on the radio…especially at night

I like that 😁 Prince had good taste! haha
I can listen to Do Me Baby anytime of the day. It’s one of my favorite all time classic P cuts. He was the master of a slow ballad.

Chile now you know ain’t nobody going to work with that song on. That’s baby making music 😂😂😂
That was 🔥
While THE activity and before but never going to work...would never make it to the office 😊
He was going for a Smokey Robinson vibe here, I wish they’d worked together.
Prince - Do more - his music evolves so much.
You just got a new sub for this 💜👑🥂

what is the album 7? you mean the Symbol album with the 7 song on it?
@@daliinhiscoffin2493 good morning I hope you have a lovely day, yes I did mean the symbol I could think of it at the time so thank you for your help
DURING the activity, more times than I can count, with my girlfriend in our 20s.
This is "date night" not "going to work." If you want going to work, I do really love his song "Let's Work" and recommend it.

Listen to his protege Funk group The Time, he wrote their stuff, and "Girl" sounds so similar.
first time reaction - THE BEAUTIFUL ONES from the PR soundtrack for SOMETHING IN THE WATER (DOES NOT COMPUTE) from 1999. Interested in your thoughts.
React to the demo of Do me Baby by Prince.
Dude. If you couldn't get nuthin done to this one, that was a you problem 😅
Yes he is singing falsetto but he did this song like in 81 I think but he did sing in falsetto much like I suppose to not wreck his voice
react to america by Prince! the music video live 1985
You might want to chevk out, "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World." It's a bit tamer. 😂
If you think that one is sexual, you ought to hear Little Nicky.
If you think Darling Nikki is sexual, you should hear Come or 18 & Over. 😂
What about "Gett Off"? Love that one.

Or I Love U In Me
There are also the more humorous sexy tracks like Lady Cab Driver or International Lover. There are soooooo many!
