2024 Curated Arms Georgia State USPSA Championship

I shot this match (10 stages) in the Saturday afternoon slot. This was my first major match that I didn’t staff and my second overall. It was threatening rain all day. But it only rained for a few minutes. We ended up not having to shoot with bags on the targets at all.
I did ok on it but had several big mistakes to do with stage planning. My eyes weren’t moving and I wasn’t staying target focused. I also wasn’t confident in my movement.
If you haven’t seen Brantley Gilbert’s video on this match go watch it. He got DQ’ed for breaking the 180 on Stage 1 in a textbook example of the need for video evidence to be allowed.

Pretty sure it's against uspsa rules not to give shooters time to walk the stage. You also shouldn't have had to paste while in the hole. Walk it then and make sure to stay out of the on deck shooters way.

I like walking all stages before the match because I’m new enough that 4 minutes generally isn’t enough to get a good stage plan down. It was staff reset so I didn’t paste. My mag pouch was loose and I didn’t have an allen key to tighten it. So I ran to the car to get one and they walked it while I was gone.
