Applied some of my techniques that I learned in a lesson from DirtLab Coaching today at the track to help master my braking technique #dirtbike #offroadracing #offroad #racing #dirtbikedrills
Thanks!! 3rd pinned is a little scary, but I’m getting more used to it. Been doing it for a while, but i would always let off too early for it to make much difference.
Is Ott Ranch the sand race you're talking about? I signed up for it. It will be my first race, ever. I paid for the TORCS membership and for the race for Saturday only. But I was looking over the rulebook and saw that it requires a Snell helmet. Do they really check for that? My helmet doesn't have the Snell endorsement. I hope I didn't waste my money. If I can race, I've signed up for Open D class. I'll be the clueless fat-ass on the Beta XTrainer.
@@jwaller1327 yes. OTT Ranch this weekend. There is also a TX2 race the following Sunday at McMahan’s Ranch, which is one of the top 3 properties for racing in central Texas. OTT is sandy. They say you need to ride faster in the sand to make it easier. Regarding the rules. There is no check. Just make sure you have helmet, boots, goggles gloves and pants/jersey. I also wear elbow pads, chest/shoulder, and hip pads.
Man my issue is i stay in it full send, then brake too late locking rear and almost going off trail and at times blowing through the turn/trail which you know cost time. Then again only time i practice is practice day then race day 😅. Been doing that since TX2-RND1 and only TX2, really need to practice more like you do.
Take this into the next race and you will see massive improvements in your results! Way to go!
