+Seth Leblanc Thanks Seth! And I agree, hair can be tricky but with more and more practice it all starts to make sense.

Wow, this is the video I've been waiting for!! Struggled with this for soooo long but I finally think I have a better handle on it. Thanks a lot! So basically it goes: 1.flowy hair lines, 2. separate clumps, 3. render considering light source, 4. add smaller strands and clean up?

+Philip Sasko You got it.! That is what I have learned so far. Try it out and see how it works for you. It also helps to post a few photos around your art table of different hair styles. Study them for a while then you won't need them over time. Good luck to you and thanks for watching!

You are a pretty amazing artist and great instructor. You should do a udemy course (or 3). There is only one other guy with Manga Studio courses. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

+Wardiaper Fakelastname I will look into it. I currently do a few courses for Tuts Plus. They have been pretty good to work with. Thanks for watching!

I love your videos! And you're an awesome artist. Your hair drawing is excellent.
I do have a tip. It's not a drawing tip, per se--it's a hairstyling tip. (I wrestle with styling my own actual lady hair, is the only reason I really noticed it.) I'm watching you draw the hairstyle with her bun/bump on the back, but the bun doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere, really. Her hair is flowing nicely over her head from the front, but that top hair would be where the bun would actually be coming from, so some of the hair on top should be pulled back toward the bun. Otherwise it kind of looks like she has hair attached out of nowhere to the back of her head. ^_^ (Google "hair bun with bangs" to see what I mean.)

+greengeekgirl I see what you mean. I will do some more research and improve on that. Thanks for taking the time to comment and for watching my channel! I am happy you like the work! :)
