- Unfortunately there is no release of the beautiful original soundtrack.
There are none of the beautiful songs by Penny Askey from the series.
only these instrumental versions and the new edition of maybe and friends.
I think it would have been a delight for fans of the soundtrack if at least there had been the original version of Maybe, Today and Friends.Unfortunately, this released LP was the only one I know that had the original soundtrack written on the front.but unfortunately he wasn't on it

Wow! This brings back soooo many memories of my young teenage years in Germany. I sang my heart out to this. Plus I had the hots for him haha.
I wish I could live a simple happy life like this now. Out in the country. With a cuddly grizzly 🐻💕
Just saw this. I was the music supervisor/producer of the music on the show. This indeed was the only soundtrack released of music from the show and released by RSO Records in Germany. The single "Maybe" by Thom Pace was an enormous hit there selling a whopping 800,000 singles. It was on the charts for nearly 6 months and won record of the year. Worldwide it sold nearly 3 million copies. I tried from the beginning of the show to convince the production company to let me produce a soundtrack (including the songs from Bob & Penny) for the U.S. market. We had literally thousands of letters forwarded from NBC to our office asking where they could get the music. When the same thing happened in Europe, I produced the single, "Maybe" and "Friends". RSO was slow to follow up and they lost the rights to Thom to Capitol Records. Thom did all the vocals in the show written by Bob and Penny so they could not be included in this album. Unfrotunately,
Capitol did an awful job promoting Thom and his album and a golden opportunity was lost. Thanks for posting this....brought back a lot of great memories for me...

It was the series with the most beautiful soundtrack there was. Not even counting the well-known Thom Pace Maybe. The Bob Summers Melodies sung by Penny Askey are my absolute favorite songs. Every tune and song on the show was a little masterpiece.

That explains why it’s so hard to find.
My mother had the single “Maybe” with “friends” on the B side, back in the early 80s when I was a kid.
I struggled to find a digital copy of the original Maybe track, but eventually managed to buy the single on vinyl last year, which came from Germany, so all of the writing on vinyl sleeve was in German. It makes sense now.
I praise you for your efforts and contributions into this musical masterpiece. The series, the movie and the music have held a place in my heart for over 40 years and hopefully for 40 or so more.

me and my mom watched the very first episode of grizzly adams together that was 1977 i was 9yrs old.

yes no problem, I feel the same way, unfortunately you don't get all versions of the songs and melodies for the series and movie .but better than nothing
I like this film , I saw at 1988 about bear and a man. Beautuful soundtrack film. I am watching from Central Java - Indonesia now.

Hello, no problem. Unfortunately I only have the instrumental versions. The series had much nicer songs. Unfortunately, you can see on the German soundtrack LP that those responsible did not want to publish the original versions under any circumstances.

@@angelikapatzold4558ich weiß ,das stimmt auch , hab nur etwas verwechselt irgendwie beim schreiben ,und ich hab mir gedacht diesen einen Fehler von mir wird schon niemand herausfinden.
