The romurs around the egg bowl was that even with a Miss State win they would not allow a team not to make the SEC championship game to go to the 1st ever playoffs. This report was noted by many writers if you look it up online. Still a very fun season and still wonder what could have been.
The Mississippi State falloff has been crazy bc in 2024 they get blown out at home by Toledo, a MAC school Edit: I did not know their coach died that would explain their recent struggles.
That happened bc Dan mullen left us high and dry like a prostitute in the desert. And moorehead wasn't a good coach and then leach died. Lobby is working but we are rebuilding
As a native Kentuckian who has been constantly let down by our football team and 2018 being the first year I really kept up with the team, all I gotta say is Snell Yea
That Georgia game every year for Kentucky would always be a season changer for Kentucky. Their season would always spiral out of control after that game. It happened last year as well.
We may be adding Indiana to this list again after the current season. Shoot, they have potential to make a Teams you Forgot Almost Made the Playoffs again, too 😂
I would have 100% mention 2023 Arizona in this list. Obviously I'm biased, but it was the most magical experience I've had in sports outside of the 2019 St.Louis Blues and 2013 Auburn.
is it just me or does the cfb love the sec like every season there is a horrible sec team ranked even though there is a better big ten team or acc team or big 12 team that are overlooked because of these sec teams also can you please do a video where historically good teams having bad seasons
It wasn't winner take all for the Rutger-West Virginia game, West Virginia had 2 conference losses so they were eliminated. Rutgers could've won the conference but with the loss Louisville won the Big East and would go on to beat Wake Forest in the Orange Bowl.
Technically yes. Wilson got a season ending injury in one of the first games and Sawyer Smith (transfer from Troy) stepped in as the new starter but did not play well at all, so they let Bowden play qb. Most of the time they just ran wildcat plays since Bowden wasn’t a very good passer, but in the Belk Bowl against Virginia Tech that year he threw the game winning TD pass with like 10 seconds left. That year was wild
@@dennisallen-x3s He has made 3 pro bowls, been all pro, won rookie of the year, lead the league in passing, has a winning record after 9 seasons of being a starter, that's a good career for a 1st round pick let alone a 4th round pick.

You should do bad seasons by historically good teams
yeah i suggested that like two weeks ago
I'm an Oklahoma Sooners fan. Have been all my life. I'll say this season fits for this topic.
I'm so disappointed this season.
Sooners and Seminoles Special
im thinking about it ....
im currently at MSU and this weekend against texas atm we honored that 2014 squad, that auburn win was the biggest win in school history
you need to talk about 2021 purdue. yes, they went 8-6, but had 2 upsets over top 5 teams and won the big ten west
That Ray rice comment was wild 😂😂
“ the guy who taught me how to treat women … ray rice” 😂😂😂

Agreed with alabama being a 1 loss team and holding the tie breaker they would have gone instead of us. Just wish we could have beat them.
I’m not a state fan but some of the older guys would prolly say their 1980 win over bama to knock them off the natty
As a South Carolina fan we are definitely historically bad, you could make a video on our 3 consecutive 11-2 seasons
It’s a true travesty not hearing the cbs intro for SEC ball. Just not sit right seeing big ten on CBS now
The music doesn't fit with the big ten
When I think of the CBS intro, I think of points. The Big Ten feels so odd
“Chris Ray rice brown” is hilarious
Seeing Dak play like makes me sad because after his ankle injury he hasn’t been the same 😞
I have legitimate childhood trauma with the 2014 Bulldogs
Mullin my fav gator coach
Great vid! You should do historical good teams that have recently had bad seasons next.

Edit: I did not know their coach died that would explain their recent struggles.
But the SEC fanboys say SEC bottom feeders are better than most of the schools in the country
In their defense their literal coach passed away. Hard to just bounce back from that. Their new coach is working some magic tho!

6:35 iconic SEC on CBS theme with Verne Lunquist calling games. Usually marquee game of the college football week.
I honestly think MSUs biggest win was LSU they just do not beat us a lot and virtually never in baton rouge.
Miss state is absolutely a historically mediocre to bad program

New to the channel so you may have already done this but you should make a series about famous coaches.
We may be adding Indiana to this list again after the current season.
Shoot, they have potential to make a Teams you Forgot Almost Made the Playoffs again, too 😂
If they go 11-1 they could make it but that’s a big if. They have a good chance of their first 10 win season tho.
If Indiana stays on their current path, ur gonna need to add them in a video
Ohhh MSU how we’ve fallen😔
Mississippi State’s biggest win was against #1 Alabama in 1980. We won 6-3.

The subject of this viddy aside, in 2014 itd be wild to fathom how far Auburn has fallen from being a top ten program consistently
The season isn't over yet, but I feel like you could include the 2024 Indiana Hoosiers team on a list like this.
That Rutgers team was really even more dangerous if you happened to be a woman in an elevator.
You can not call southern miss southern Mississippi
As a Southern Miss fan, I approve this message😂😂
Kentuckys best team ever still lost to a terrible Tennessee team lol
chillll
For Kentucky, didn't Lyn Bowman take over QB the next year or am I thinking of another QB.

Hey man. Stop teasing me with the South Carolina vs Michigan game. They next on your list or we gonna throw hands!! 😂
Yes most definitely 2018 Syracuse Finished the season 10-3 ranked in the top 15 at the end of the season
21:07 Louisville would’ve won the natty if they didn’t lose that game
