Thank you for explaining how bond market works. But which one is better between Bharat Bond and Government securities? Can you pls make a comparison video of these 2? It would be really helpful 🙏
Tell about government securities.. Its fairly liquid Direct issued by RBI Interests rates is nearly same as 7.2 to 7.5% And also credited in account in T+2 days even if one buys by issuance Can be pledged also and considered as a cash collateral
I have a doubt. If I buy Bharat bond directly from Edelweiss website, then how will that show up in my 5paisa portfolio if I want to pledge that ? Please clarify. In this video Mr PRS is showing his Bharat bond in his 5paisa portfolio.
I said it before and saying it again. The biggest drawback of Bharat bond is that it's not considered as cash component while pledging. It's as good as investing in equity for 7.5 percent returns. Say if I have 100 rupees and if want to use this for pledging, i have to use 50 rupees for cash or cash equivalent components like liquid bees or liquid funds and rest MAY come from non cash component like equity. If I have to invest first 50 percent in liquid fund for cash equivalents which is compulsory and next 50 percent as non cash component why will I choose bharatbond for 7.5 percent return? The reason behind this is unlike Gsecs Bharat bonds invest in govt companies and howsoever mighty the company may be it can go bankrupt.
Pr Sundar has shared in his earlier videos that he has negotiated with his broker (5 paisa I think, not sure) to allow him to pledge his investment in Bharat bond for trading in F&O. He also asked vaguely in comment to give email so that he can ask on behalf of interested people but then I couldn't find the comment. Perhaps it's not possible to do unless you are HNI (More than 2 crores of investment probably?)
@@ammubharatram Sebi rule states that the broker is responsible for implementation of the rule and the overall position from broker to exchange should follow the rule. so some small time brokers can offer this facility but eventually when a lower circuit occurs the equity component will be so down that the broker will not be able to satisfy the margin requirements as stipulated by exchanges which will lead to bankruptcy of the broker and all our cash parked with them is gone.
It's not possible to hide it longer and all of us should take some time to think about AMM29X and what it will do to the economoy. On my side I'm very optimistic with this and there is no better time to know about that than now
Sir pls make a video about long dated Govt securities GSec. I heard it also gives same amount of interest and it is also pledged for trading and it is considered as cash collateral. Then why Bharat bond is better? Is there any other disadvantages in GSec? Am I missing something?

I still think NH66ST has a great future because it's owned by amazon. Also I don't hear anyone about DFI? Taking the biggest blow right now. From 5000 euros to 330.... will this still work out in the future? And since BTC will fall even further I think we haven't seen the bottom yet!

Beautifully explained! Just one doubt, so if the price of bond is fluctuating then at what price does the fund house calculate interest annually? Is it the year end price, avg price for the year or its static based on the price at which the bond was launched?
It's calculated on the face value(Rs 1000) If bond price goes down, and you purchase at a lower price for eg Rs970 then your yeild would go as you would get more units for the same amount.
Sir, I have this doubt on collateral for long time . what about the interest/charges on collateral which is more than the interest we get from bonds? I have been trying to understand how is it beneficial pledging something for more interest than we get on that investment. Hope my doubt makes sense.
Ohh really? I have mutual funds investment in coin zerodha, I thought of using them for collateral for option selling, when I searched, it showed interest will be charged on per day basis looks like so I am struck from then on.

Great Advice Sunder Sir, What is your opinion in investing in undervalued holding companies like Dhunseri Investments trading 0.15% of book and PE less than 2?
While everyone is focused on BTC, ETH or any top alt coin and playing defensive they are missing on quality projects that are about to be launched on CEX. For example NH66ST will hit mainstream soon, 10x-20x quite possible even during this bear market but only few people know about this.
So whats your take on latest ETF ? considering, I want to use it for collateral for option selling So should i buy from Edelweiss directly or Secondary market? Will i be able to put it as collateral if i buy directly through Edelweiss ? Will this collateral be used as 100% cash silimar to liquid bees or Do i need to keep extra 50% cash for option selling. Your thoughts on this be be really helpful sir. And which broker actually accept bharat bond if i buy it directly from Edelweiss
now we are in Interest rate increasing cycle, as he mentioned bond price will decrease from your purchase cost, so your NET collateral value also will go down day by day...which is not good for option selling
Very nicely explained the concept of bonds in a language that non-economic background people too can easily understand.
You are a good teacher.
Your video made my understanding of bond yields slightly better. There was this confusion which always prevailed. Thank you...
