    Thanks for taking time to make this. I’ve used Amplitube in the past. I didn’t care for it and used 11 rack. But that’s getting old. I like what I hear. The Soldano and Peavey really hit home. They’re all nice sounding, I think I’m gonna purchase Amplitube 5 max soon. Thanks again!!

    As an AT5 user, these are probably quad tracked or something, definitely doesnt sound like this with a single guitar and not in a mix. AT is still fantastic though and can get killer tones, but a little more transparency from the uploader would be worthwhile.

  • @godsinbox
    @godsinbox 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    hearing a tone back to back, it is only possible to like the previous one or two better. you cannot predict whether you will like the next tone better. if you jump backwards and forwards, it makes it even harder to like a tone. in the end, none of them sound perfect, hence why they always make a 'home brand' amp model. This goes to show digital technology is not yet mature.

      @heatnationwpb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Hithisishiroshi Thanks so much for the details! Simple enough eh? I do basically the same, with a light touch of reverb in the rack near the end of the chain. Easy peasy!
      I've been using Amplitube iOS for writing demos for a few years now, but I recently bought the proper Mac versions with this amazing 25th Anniversary "Buy In" Sale (Buy one title get 20+ FREE 😃) - so this video is quite helpful. I'm most surprised at the Mark IV here. What a fantastic tone! I'm a long time Dual Rec guy, so I'm going to take a closer look at the Mark IV now for sure after hearing your demo. I generally pan a Dual Rec on one side vs the Orange Thunderverb... Those two together make one helluva tone that sits well in my mixes. The Thunderverb takes a lil tweaking, but with proper mic choice & placement it clarifies into a thick, meaty, rhythm chug without getting too "muddy". It's a BEAST - especially when paired with something a little crisper like the Dual Rectifier. So I'm curious to see how a Mark IV/Thunderverb combo sounds. Or maybe even Dual Rec vs Mark IV - you just can't have too much Mesa Boogie imho lol! 🤘 (for reference I play an Ibanez RG w/ Seymour Duncan "Distortion" in the bridge & a "Jazz" pup in the neck)
      One more thing, if you don't mind, are you using any particular mics here, or just the default mic & placement settings? Thanks again in advance mate!

      @Hithisishiroshi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@heatnationwpb I'm so glad that this video was useful for you! Thanks for the comment, well I agree to all of your thoughts. And for this video i used the default mics for each amp.
      I have tried many plugins and amp sims and I believe AT5 is one of the coolest one yet! I used it for recording lead guitars on my new album. And ofc You can get a better guitar tone than what you're hearing in this video because i didn't use monitoring speakers to mix and make the tones.
      I think i gotta upload a new video about creating a high gain guitat tone for metal, featuring more info that this one haha! Thanks again for the support!

  • @heyimjoshnicetomeetya
    @heyimjoshnicetomeetya 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have no clue why, but I always find British amps to be lacking a certain fullness when played alone. Blended with something else, they really begin to shine.

    • @chrisking6695
      @chrisking6695 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the guitar lives in the mid range. You want your guitar to be mid heavy to cut through the mix. British Amos are mid heavy so they cut through. Lots of metal guitarist don't get it. They mix their guitars with too much low end and a mid scoop and the entire mix sounds muddy. Why? You also don't need a lot of gain in the mix especially when you layer multiple guitar tracks for a fatter sound. The more gain the more muddy it'll sound.

    • @heyimjoshnicetomeetya
      @heyimjoshnicetomeetya 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisking6695 I 100% agree with you. I'm not a mid scoop, crank the bass person, I run my mids at around 7 or 8 and bass on around 4, but it's just when I play through a JCM 800, it just lacks balls and power on its own compared to my Triple Rectifier. It's really good for more punky stuff, I will say.
