This is awesome! I've actually been liking the Triple Rect, but after hearing this video I think I might like the dual Rect sound more for a complete mix. The Marshall screams old scool metal to me though to which I'd like to try. Nice vid man thanks for insight.
Dude, this is awesome. Thank you so much. I've just started using Amplitube 4, and these presets are a great place for me to start. Would you consider during tutorial videos on "how to get that sound"? I'd love to see/hear your take on the way to setup tone for lead and rhythm on Fields of The Nephilim's "Mourning Sun" album.
Nice review man. I've got Amplitube 4 on my iPad Air 2 with the Mesa Boogie amps bundle. They really have some balls. Every head you showed on here is pretty impressive, I think it comes down to personal taste.
The Amplitube Mesa Boogie collection is phenomenal. The Terence Hobbs presets are pretty amazing.Engl is also good but I think Mesa stands out more in a mix.
Yes..i love all them..The mesa's sounds dark and powerfull mid range..every time i like to add some highs and presence like the screenshots show..sits better in the mix..And the problem about the engl in amplitube is the cabinet impulse response ..Too scooped and a lot of low end ..its hard to cut in the mix ..but if you change the cab sounds amazing too..Extreme high gain amp .. :D Cheers !
Hey, i have a spider 6 IV 75 so i was wondering, what's wrong with it? i mean, i know it's becoming like a meme or something, is it too distorted? I bought it with my first guitar and seemed awesome that i can change effects like that, it seemed to me very versatile. Be harsh and tell the truth i don't mind, i just want to know it's flaws.
You get what you pay for with a Line 6... That's why they're cheap. They're meant for fun and to mess around with. They do all kinds of crazy crap and in some areas they do it well. But the point is, it does a lot of things and completely digital as well. A lotttttt of things. Being average at a lot of things, makes you a master at none of them. Very true in Line 6's case. I almost bought one multiple times but I'm glad I talked myself out of it. It's just a budget solidstate practice modeling amp. Nothing wrong with it, but once you play a real amp, you'll laugh your ass off at your Spider.

My favourite amps are Soldano SLO100 and Engl E650. Soldano has a great distortion keeping tone and Engl is aggressive with a classic distortion tone. I also like Engl Powerball but its sound is too modern for me.
Now, here is a question... I hear the final tones but..... could you record this same riff W/O the amps so I could hear JUST the guitar? IOW, I guess since it's amp sim, just go into your DAW, turn OFF the head, cabinet, eq, then RENDER just your dry guitar sound so that I could hear THAT and know what you fed INTO the amps, cabs? Get it? This way, I could hear what tone I am shooting for with the guitar and compare to mine and have some general way to compare it Is it possible you can rerender that Holy Diver lick dry and upload a vid or private vid or email/upload an mp3 render of that for me to d/l? I'm just thinking most of my prob is the guitar. Anyway, thanks for the comparisons!!!
I'm sorry man..but i dont have more the D.I's..everything is deleted after the mix..But the guitar i'snt the problem i think..There some tips and ways to record guitars depending for what you will use..for example if you trying to record for a mix you need to check the bass tone, the cymbals of the drums, the reverb levels..everything's must be correct to the entire song sounds good..And the guitars needs some EQ corrections maybe compression (i didnt used in these tones) but overall for record guitars.. 1 - Put new Strings 2 - Metal needs Humbucker Pickups 3 - Magical Plugins doesn't exist, you must be a good guitarist...basically this..The preset sounds a little bit diferent with other players,guitars..Any questions i'm here..Thanks
