Mads Pedersen and Nibali | Dream Training Camp with LIDL-TREK Team

- Another fabulous ride with Lidl-Trek Team in Marina Alta region of Spain where almost all WorldTour Pro Cycling teams are gathering for a winter training camp.
Cyclists like DECLERCQ Tim, PEDERSEN Mads, KIRSCH Alex and other doing interval session on long Bernia Climb. Thats probably only one climb in this area with bad tarmac, so sometimes image is not stabilized. During climbing we overtook VINCENZO NIBALI and later he joined us - showing that he still has legs to push big watts. Hope you enjoy this video

I remember one time when I was climbing a small 4th category climb near my house in Bizkaia and Igor Anton (winner of the Zoncolan climb) passed me like a bullet and told me: go go man!!. I arrived home as if I had participated in a climb with him.

Still you can't spend day in day out cycling (I assume?) I was a cyclist with the youth. To bad a heavy fall made it impossible for me to go further with it.. Now I just do it for fun also am 34 allready. Time flies. I remember being 12 and go with teammates to the vosgues in Easter vacation. I'm from Belgium and the only climbs I do regularly are something.like Mur de Grammont(Geraardsbergen) and sometimes to the Ardennes for a weekend or a week to do some longer climbs around Stavelot. @@artem4ik19

With the teams its easy, if they don't doing any efforts - just stay at the back of group, at thats totally fine. If riders gonna do intervals- ask of you can join the madness until you dropped 😅😉

Vincenzo Nibali and others lose very little to nothing in their retirement, provided they continue riding, albeit not as many hours as they did during their careers. They could remain competitive well into their 40s or even longer. I believe the main reason is that after decades of relentless schedules, travels, camps, and everything else, they simply grow tired of it and decide to spend more time with their families, etc.

Besides, i think that when you are a truly champion, and you're no longer able to be competitive for at least a podium in a gt, then you see all these young rider overcoming easily, well you Just lose that spirit
