- Check which codec was used to compress the video (install a codec pack ex: K-Lite) - Try another video editor - Try to reconvert the video to a different format - for playback use a software which has built-in codecs (VLC, KMplayer, GOMplayer...)
@@thekreatorr in Windows… go to File Explorer->View->Show->check File name extensions. All your extension names will appear and then you can change it.

MP4 is just a container, inside there can be a video which is compressed with an unsupported software.

Either convert your clips to a different format or try to use another video editor (Davinci Resolve is free).

Dang it seems like I'm the only one who this didn't work for unfortunately. I'm using GoPro Hero 11 4k 60 files... Anybody else having problems?

You don't need Total Commander. You can invoke "ren *.mp4 *.mts" from command line in the apropriate directory.

No, that's just the name of the file, the contents are not changed or reconverted.
