- Alice Cooper (with The Smothers Brothers!) performs Unfinished Sweet on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
The song appeared on Alice Cooper’s Billion Dollar Babies album. Instead of singing about the horrors of monsters, or necrophilia, this time Alice is comically singing about the horrors of dental surgery! Too much candy, and now it’s time for a trip to the dentist.
The Smothers Brothers
The Smothers Brothers, Tom and Dick, are one of the most iconic comedy duos in the history of television. Tom and Dick began performing as a duo in the late 1950s, playing in coffeehouses and clubs in San Francisco. Their act consisted of music, comedy, and witty banter, which quickly gained them a following.
The Smothers Brothers became a household name in the late 1960s with their variety show, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. The show was groundbreaking in its approach to comedy, pushing the boundaries with political satire and social commentary. The show also featured up-and-coming musical acts, including The Doors and The Who, and introduced the world to comedians like Steve Martin and George Carlin.
The Smothers Brothers' irreverent style has made them a beloved and enduring force in American comedy.

I remember the song but this is the first time seeing the actual production. Very cool to see that it aired on The Smother’s Brothers show-the guys were way ahead of their time.
#RIPTommy ❤
I got Dennis Dunaway's book and enjoyed it. He covered this period of Alice Cooper , , and originally the whole band was called Alice Cooper. until Vince the singer took the name for himself and a few years late left the band. BTW, Dennis Dunaway was the original bass player. Good read for Alice fans.
Alice Cooper, my first live concert with friends, 1973
Thanks, this was real then and now.
Lucky you! I've been listening to AC since '89 and my first live was in 2006
What a wild show for that era. 😳
Heck. It's wild today. 🤣
I saw this on TV when it aired. Loved it then and so cool to see it after all these years. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching! Glad you found it again.
Same here.
Alice on network TV back in the day, so cool to see it now...............School's out forever!
The production looks like pre-Welcome to My Nightmare. Almost as if this was a practice run for what was about to come in the next few months.
Saw him and the original band perform that song in March '73, Billion Dollar Babies tour.
Alice Cooper; ❤🎉😊 What a sick mind! I love it!
