This is my first time commenting on a video I believe. Not your typecast demographic but I subscribed a while ago and was really sad when you decided to step away. Just wanted to say I really appreciate how open and candid you get in your videos. You seem to be someone who does a lot of self reflection and inner work, and the fact that you choose to then share it with younger people, especially men, is admirable. Love rambly story videos like these, Derek! Just a shame about the audio in my opinion. How it used to be was literally the best asmr for me. I didn't realise people didn't like it. Hopefully there's more pro-gain people like me out there... 😋

Hey there I am glad you are back. Dating can suck sometimes, as a gay man I feel like is even harder lol. I have been single for several years now because people just don’t want to commit or something serious. I am 32, I know I am young but I know what I want. I guess we’ll have to just keep working on ourselves while that special someone comes.

The gain being turned all the way down makes the quality go down in my opinion. The gain being turned all the way up makes it more sensitive on my ears which makes it feel better. Obviously my opinion doesn't matter as much as the general audience but I hope you do switch back. Love the video quality though, in every video.

I still love her and think of her often during that day. Sometimes when I eat I lose my appetite and just think everything is my fault. It’s hard to sleep at night but as a catholic I do find myself praying to the lord and asking for help.growing up I’ve been taught to forgive no matter what I just wish life wasn’t so depressing for me.

I have been hurt so much by women I don’t know what to do anymore. I go on my own and just work but I feel like I don’t have a true companion especially because I don’t connect with a lot of people in general. It makes me very sad I just want to be loved.
I think if you keep working and keep working on yourself....it will happen. I see your thumbnail is a dog so hopefully you have that. I know its not the same as human love but its true love and definitely helps. Maybe just post your profile online and see what happens. You will find someone for sure. You just can't lose that hope. If you live with the hope that the right one will come...it makes you happier and if you are happier...you are far more likely to attract a woman. Sad energy will not attract a good woman. Hang in there!

I totaly agree with you, i'm 22 and I never dated or been in love with a girl, why ? because I was born in a poor family I literally lost everything when I was born no house, no parents nothing, so before I can even think of dating I should rebuild my life first
Sadly, yes, I think you need to get yourself to a spot where you feel good about where you are. Hard to take on more responsibility until you have yourself worked out. Then, when you know where you want to go....get her locked down bro!

I was so in love that I even got a job to buy her things not only that I bought her flowers and a charm from James Avery on her birthday I’m not trying to say it was a bad thing but just imagining her with another guy and wearing the charm I got her makes me feel sick in a way
But I am a very respectful person Ik right from wrong most of the time I’ve just been alone for so long that I’m feel empty I don’t discuss things like this to my parents because of the fear of what they would think of her I’ve been depressed all most of my life but I always got a smile on my face at home and school how would you try and get through this though?

I am a young man still in high school. I fell in love with a girl whom just like you I really only wanted to be with her. I never paid any attention to other girls except her. We talked for a couple months then we both wanted to take things to a higher level so we started dating. One month & a half in, she discussed her being on her period and like me I’m the type of guy who likes to make sure everything is ok and that I’m a person that shows that I care. The first day I’m on her period we called and everything was going well we called around 10 till she said she was getting tired. Next day I tell her good morning how are you feeling she responded with a “I’m fine” we didn’t get to call that day because she said she was busy the next day I said the same thing good morning how are you feeling she didn’t respond till the upcoming day saying “been busy” I understand we are all busy at some point so I just really thought she was busy. Every morning I text her good morning and never got a response for a whole week until I text her hey is something wrong you haven’t been answering me she finally text me back saying I’ve just been distancing myself hoping you would Lose feelings for me I said why she said I just want to focus on school more ( my words exactly “it’s the summer”) she said my moms trying to get me to realize that I need to focus on my life I told her that I never get in her way when it comes to school or life and that I know when to talk and when not to in life she said I just feel different now.

Just some feedback on the gain here, 100% does not work for me. With the headphones I'm using which are high end headphones I can hear a high pitch and there's so much echo, so much so that it sounds like the audio is being recorded on your laptop. Hope this helps!

Personally I miss the "clickier" higher gain sound. while this does eliminate some background noise it hides some of the detail in your whisper. Thank you for always trying different things and asking us about them.
High gain votes smoked the low gain votes....high gain it is moving forward!

Interesting to hear that other people dont like the high gain, Its probably very hard to appeal to every preference group. Why not try and do what other ASMRtists like JoJo do? He does some videos with high gain and some with lower gain :)

I know Mr Beast has a more in depth youtube Analytics website. I definitely think you would like.
I checked it out. Its viewstats.com. It focuses more on the money side..view count and subscriber count stuff but not so much on the analytics. I wished I would have shown the countries that my subscribers are from. I will show that next time.

Raise your own kids, there’s some special situations you might be presented in life where you can adopt or maybe your friend dies and you take over to raise his child if you were single. But a single man no kids, don’t do it. It’s a trap idc how pretty she is or how she treats you. And if you must make sure the father isn’t around to the capacity where he’s going to convince her to cheat also never trust her. Live in your own house

@ASMRReality so I've just started taking my future seriously, I'm trying to make day trading my full time career and am heavily hyperfixated on it at the moment. With who I am I hyperfixate on one thing hard and disregard other areas I shouldn't (I'm a bit autistic) so when I start talking to a girl I get mood dependent on how it's going with them and try my best to make it work while dropping my other needs. Because of that I decided to say no girls until financial freedom, however someone I used to talk to a while ago hit me up recently and it was going good but, this week I foundout she's talking with other guys too which ik is how the dating game works for my generation (I'm 22), but it's just now how I do it I only talk to one person at a time and I'd expect the other person to do the same so I broke it off but it made her really upset and I still feel bad idk I'm just kinda stuck. I can tell we'd fall for eachother eventually but it messes with my mental so much and trading is so psychologically dependent I just don't think I can do all of it at the moment

@@griffin_kith6214 I think this is a great opportunity for you to work on the issue you have had for a while but one that is certainly fixable. You state above that "with who I am." You are basically locking yourself into that prognosis with this type of self talk. You should say..."in the past I always fixated on one thing and ignored others." This gives you hope that you can change this. Or even say this..."I am working on fixing an issue I have had most of my life which is fixating on one thing and ignoring other areas of my life." This leaves hope that this is not how you will be in the future. You have to believe that this is not "WHO YOU ARE" but instead it is "WHO YOU USED TO BE." This is a fixable problem and one that you can start fixing using this exact situation. I would have the heart to heart with this girl and tell her the reason that you tried to step back for a moment from her. Something along theses lines...."I want to explain my situation to you so you understand why I did what I did. I have had this issue in the past where I can only focus on one thing at a time. I have been working on a career in day trading and it has been going well...and then you popped into my life again out of nowhere and it spun me for a loop. I still have feelings for you and it brought back a whirlwind of emotions and started negatively impacting my trading. I know I can't be happy if I don't have a successful career and if I'm not happy....there is no way you will be happy with me. I'm working on getting better about multitasking and being able to juggle all the things in life that I need to in order to have a successful work life along with a happy personal life. If you are open to working with me on this, I would be open to continuing to date you but I need your support as we go along. If I start feeling overwhelmed or start getting behind with my trading situation, I will let you know and maybe we can take a step or two back. You have to know that I care for you and I like the idea of us working on our relationship to see where it can go but at the same time, you deserve a successful man and I need to be a successful man. Does this sound like something that could work for you?"
That is the conversation you need to have with her. If she can and will work with you than great. If not, you likely made the right call in setting her to the side.

I think you're right, I shouldn't completely brush off dating though after talking with her a bit more last night I just don't think we're on the same page. The problem with dating is it doesn’t solve the lack, people need a relationship with god at the center of it governing it. Marriage is a covenant with god, and when you have to uphold your marriage to the highest authority. You take it serious, it’s no longer about you. So the selfish views are gone you make it work to glorify god. And you’re going to be happier knowing you have something that will last forever and someone who will die for you instead of chasing people who only want you for sex. Dating and getting intimate with no commitment is disgusting
I don't disagree with anything you're saying here. I certainly understand that my ways are sin according to scripture. I have justified my lifestyle based on my age and that I am not living this lifestyle by taking younger women's innocence but rather being with women older than me that are in a similar position as me in life. I respect your Biblical take on lifestyle and would certainly agree that finding that loving soul mate to share a life with and raise a family with is the most optimum life available to a man and a woman today.
