I can’t wait for you to get into blackpink’s variety show appearances, compilations, and reality tv shows (after their performances/ dancing content). They’re extremely funny when they chose to be. Lisa and Jisoo together are just chaos. Jennie actually said that she doesn’t let them sit together in interviews because they play too much and they always encourage each other’s “bad” behavior😭. Jennie has the most savage remarks and Rosé has the most sarcastic remarks and tells corny jokes lmao. Their entire group dynamic is so entertaining to see and they’re so close that they all drink out the same straw and cling onto each other constantly 💀.
FUN FACT: LISA is the choreographer of blackpink when they are still a trainee to perform every month for 5 years. She's the only trainee in YG entertainment who got straight A in terms of rapping, singing, dancing and performing live. Until now, she still suggesting and creating some moves on their steps to make it more interesting and clean.

The amount of training these girls have been through over the years to perfect the performance art pre-debut speak for itself. They've been training for years to be able to dance and sing even rap at the same time, while doing the facial expressions and look unbothered. Respect!
They actually toned down their dance performances for a bit now, because they have to sing and catch up their breathing during live performances. But youu have you check out their dance cover of "B*tch better have my money" that was released before their debut where everyone was so curious about Lisa, everyone was asking 'who's the blonde girl' HAHA. Their moves were on fire 🔥

as long as you love BLACKPINK, there's no need to have a bias. I think they are probably the only group that gives me such a hard time picking. I love them all so much 🖤❤️
If you ever want to check out individual stuff, you should react to lisa's lilifilms. Her dance practices are out of this world and she dives into a lot of different genres and makes her position as the main dancer justice. She has the most viewed fancams from every BP era (except for 2 i think) and if you pause any dance practice, especially in HYLT, you'll see how her form is always perfect. Also, reason why she was chosen as a dance mentor for youth with you for 2 seasons (a survival show for idols).

And there's a reason why Lisa has the most viewed fancams in every single one except 2 (jennie has 1 + 1 from R). It's always Lisa the one placed at #1 not only by choreographers, YG dancers, and everyone that has a dance background. The rest shine in their own areas but Lisa is the main dancer for a reason and with a gap

I'm glad you noticed how good their facial expressions are, they are not just smiling to the camera, winking and looking cute, they really embody the lyrics of each song, you can compare how their facials were in Don't know what to do which is more emotional to How You like that which is more of a karma hit you song, now you look at you and look at me. dancing and singing at same time is really hard but thats why the girls trained for like jennie trained 6years and lisa almost 5years and jisoo 4years and rosé i think almost 4years they trained all these years to attened these levels so thats why they are so profesional and know how to master on it if you check their live performances you will see if you wanna che a live to "DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO" i recomand you "LIVE AT TOKYO DOME" their stage at the TOKYO DOME were really insane i can tell you you should check them all at that live cause they did the "DUDDUDUDDU REMIX" which is a fire remix and "WHISTLE ACOUSTIC VERSE" but if you still havent check the original one go check them before !!!
“How do they perform this live”
Well usually when the member singing or rapping comes up, they’re usually just standing still or doing less moves compared to the rest. Often times when a member of a group is belting or hitting that amazing high note they’ll just stand still while the rest of the members are dancing.
And for BTS and BP changing their formations in their dances, it’s actually what happens in every single kpop group. They constantly change formations for creativity but also to bring out the member who is singing/rapping, so that they have their own “spotlight” or so that they are standing out. It’s easy for audiences to go “oh he’s the one singing” bc he’s in the middle doing less moves, or he’s the only one who’s not bending or on the ground.
You should definitely react to more dance practices!!! And when (or if) u get into newer groups, you’ll see just how amazing the kpop industry is when it comes to dancing.
I recommend Seventeen, Ateez, or NCT (all boy groups) as just some of the few groups who have amazing and powerful dances.
Of course u don’t HAVE to watch them. If u want to, then u can react to them when YOU feel like it. No rush !!
Have just watched to the part where you commented on the smooth transitions in their choreo, where they seamlessly rotate so that each member gets some time front and center. It's not just a Blackpink or BTS thing - it's a Kpop thing, heehee. That's the template: precise choreo and continuously moving formations. All groups have to master this before they're ever finalized to debut... otherwise it's not to Kpop standards. Think of the immense competition there is when ALL groups are trained for years to perfect this as a bare minimum standard, pre-debut. Whether a group goes on to "succeed" depends on everything else they bring to this template but they all have to have these skills down first. Korea has taken the Western girl/boy-group model and next-leveled it so much (with all the industry infrastructure and related professions in tow, covering choreography, music production, styling, MV production and everything else)... the rest of the world will have a hard time ever catching up. :)

Forever young is one of my favorite if not my favorite song by them. I feel like it summarizes what BlackPink is about really well.
They casually say that they practice all of this 14 hours a day. The dance moves become as much a part of the song as the singing.The is an episode of an asian variety show where they play a series of their songs for them to dance to starting each in random places. They all snap into formation for each one and do the dance. It's practically muscle memory at this point. Hence their confidence. They KNOW what they are going to do when they walk out.

As for singing hard while dancing hard,... they are each early 20s for one. They are also running for hours on exercise machines practicing holding notes & doing vocal runs. They are doing what looks humanly impossible by practicing many many hours.

It has a surprise in it that will be obvious once you see it, it's really an entire barrel of laughs (but you have to watch it all the way through; it's a little longer than most of their MVs)! Performers are able to dance and sing at the same time live for 2 reasons: the live dance is toned down a little to compensate, and/or they don't actually sing every line. In America, Beyonce was practically the only performer who danced hard AND sang every line.
