Well, the game is easy, the only thing that makes it more or less difficult are the old Castlevania style jumps or Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

once you realize that it's just dodge and hit, that's when you realize that the game ain't shit

Guy is using save states, the time for some levels is very little. The cave level with Bu/guardian soul share a timer for example. And in this level you have to detour for a crystal for good ending
