Got in labor with my second daughter at 1am but didn’t know it, had just this weird pain like menstruation pain. But started to poop myself out… first sign…. When I called hospital 3hours later to make sure it is not sign to go to hospital they insured me that this was not enough to come in. So took some painkillers and took a long shower. Still having this pain… once out of the shower my water broke ! So jumped to the car, but still no contractions. 3 mins later in the car I got my first contaction! Gosh! Didn’t make it to my hospital but another one on the way! Didn’t count red lights we missed 😂 When we got there they informed me I was opened by 10 saying: put yourself behind on the couch we will start pushing right away 😂 naturally without medical assistance… ok then! She came on the world 50 mins later after my water broke. This was 3 months ago, she is so beautiful and growing sooo fast 🥰
I had my baby! My labor was 5 hours. I woke up at 3 am thinking I was having intense gas pain. Made it to the hospital at 5:15am. Was checked at 5:30 and I was at 8cm. I begged for meds and they said they would give them to me when we got to labor room. Made it to the labor room 10 minutes later and I was at 10 cm and it was too late for the meds. I pushed for a long time though but the pushing gave me relief from those horrible contractions. My baby will be 2 days old soon. Hehe.
Before labor, I had never had a contraction but I was very very tired the days before. My water broke at 4:30 pm on 9/13/23 and my contractions were immediately coming at 5 minutes apart and got more intense pretty quickly. By the time I was admitted to the hospital, I was at 3 minutes apart. Contractions stayed this way throughout labor. I was in labor 13 hours but only push for 15 minutes. No tearing, no complications, we went home the next day. My beautiful baby girl is healthy and perfect in every way. It’s a love I’ve never experienced before.
@@anniexiong98 it helps that my daughter was only 6.5lbs! I did a lot of yoga in the last trimester, too. I feel like there is only so much you can do to prevent tearing though - there are so many videos with advice on the subject, but I’m not sure if those things actually work. I went nuts researching because it was my first baby and I was so scared 😂. Also, listen to your body - the doctor wanted to induce me before my due date (not for any medical reason, it was “for my comfort”) and I declined against my doctor’s advice. I went for a checkup the next day and I ended up going in to labor as soon as I got home from that appointment. The odds of a healthy, natural birth are more likely than any complications. I know it’s hard not having control over any of it but you will do great and you’ll be so proud of yourself and wonder how you did it.
@@anniexiong98what helped me..perineal massages and side lying position when pushing. Not only I didn’t tear but I didn’t feel any pain while pushing. Some pressure but not pain. I am 36 pregnant first time mom. I am very tired and sleepy these days. My legs are swollen and I walk like a duck now, my belly hurts too. All in all I can't wait for the epidural and to hold my baby girl in my arms. Thank you Diana, I am learning alot from you.
Today's starts my 29th week and I'm SO EXCITED! I had an ectopic pregnancy right before my 21st birthday and it's taken me 10 years since to conceive again. I'm now 31, married to to the man of my dreams, just bought our dream house and welcoming our baby girl Leira into this world within these next 11 weeks. I've been watching your videos since week 7 ♡ thank you for all of your knowledge and positivity!

First time mom. 37 weeks and 2 days and I am 1 centimeter dilated now, so much pelvic pressure!!! (Due date october 20th) Thank you for your videos Diane!
Do lots of research from all points of view :) I've had hospital and home births and knowing what you want and don't want are SO important and what's even more important is making sure your husband/partner is on the same page and willing to speak up for you when you obviously have your mind somewhere else. Not everything is necessary and usually A LOT of things are an option and not required.
Gave birth a month ago. I'm surprised and happy it was an easy birth. Epidural is amazing 👏. No tearing, stomach back to normal, minimal pain and discomfort post part um. She was born 5ibs 9oz. Hope my second will be similar
@@lydiacleonard3529 congrats momma! Yep, nauseous for maybe like 2 months. Didn't throw up but lost some weight which is normal. Cereal and jello was mostly what I could eat. This is my first child
So how was epidural? I am due in 15days. Everything is normal and my ob people are insisting me with normal delivery. I will be for taking taking epidural, just wanted to know how’s the experience ? Is it painful ??? And honestly more than pain I am scared with episiotomy. Thanks
@@shrutishinde9124 first off, congrats to you mama! Those 15 days will go by so fast. Do what you think you'll be comfortable with. Getting the actual epidural was more of a discomfort than actual pain for me when being injected. Afterwards, the only thing I felt were the contractions and when it came time to push, I didn't feel anything. Had to remind myself how to push cause I didn't know if I actually was. I didn't have an episiotomy but since the waist down is numb, you shouldn't feel much if done properly. It's the postpartum care that gets exhausting but not impossible. If you do get an episiotomy, I've highly heard of sitz baths being amazing. You got this! 💪

37 weeks +3 today! My baby shower is tomorrow. My feet are swollen and everything hurts. Wish me luck through this social interaction 😅 I am horribly anxious about it.
A little shower update: The swelling got way worse and everyone freaked out at the end and told me to get my blood pressure checked. I ended up at labor and delivery for monitoring. They gave me fluids, did a bunch of labs and everything is okay. I was having some contractions while there but my cervix is totally closed so they sent me home. What a day!

I am 28 years old and I am a RN but terrified of the birthing experience. I have seen it many times but I am scared of the pain, thank you for the information, hopefully I become pregnant in the next year. 🙂
I wish I had found you sooner! I’m 36+3 weeks today, and slowly but surely, I’m feeling more prepared for the arrival of our first baby because of helpful information like this! We live in Canada in a city with one children’s hospital, so no issues with wondering where we will go or insurance (birth is covered by universal healthcare). I didn’t know you could get certain birth controls at the time of delivery, I’ll be asking my doctor about that!
I'm 33 weeks and this is my first pregnancy. I'm from the UK so things are a little different here but I like having as much information as possible. Thanks for the videos.
I'm 33-weeks along as well! Hugs and high five from California -- hopefully your pregnancy has been a smooth one so far, and you deliver a healthy baby in September 👋🏼💯
Just hit 30 weeks and it's go time! Love all your videos and content. They have helped me better understand week-to-week fetal growth, symptoms, and what to expect in my pregnancy. This video, while I knew most of it already, reassured me of what is and is not going to be a part of my birth plan! Thank you!
34 weeks and 3 days here, baby number 2! After trying for 9 years, having PCOS and then dealing with endometrial hyperplasia with atypia with biopsies and treatments and after 2 negative biopsies I stopped megace and took ovasense and few months later became pregnant. We honestly thought it would never happen again and that I'd get a hystectomy...we had one more chance an God blessed us! Your videos have been part of my journey since around 6 weeks pregnant!
I’m 32 weeks pregnant with my first! I’ve already decided where to give birth, and my midwife delivers there often! All 9 of my nieces and nephews were born there :) Regardless I’m getting more and more nervous to give birth the closer I get, but it’s better to be prepared :)

Due at the end of October and this was timely! Something I didn’t think about for immediate post delivery was birth control options. I was on the pill before my husband and I started trying. And I have an appointment with my midwife next week so I will definitely be asking her about options and what she recommends since I plan to breastfeed! Thanks for the tips!

37 weeks 4 days. Watching videos about labour, delivery and the first few days with baby is helping with my waiting game!
Hi Diana

I am in central California
37 weeks 4 days with my first… impatience killing me😅. Trusting for safe deliveries for all of us moms.
I am 28 weeks pregnant, made it to the 3rd trimester. This is my 2nd boy. I feel this pregnancy is flying by. 😳 💚🙂
37 weeks +3 today! My baby shower is tomorrow. My feet are swollen and everything hurts. Wish me luck through this social interaction 😅 I am horribly anxious about it.
You got this! Make sure to get a nap in right before if possible 😁
This is my fear. I’m only 21 weeks and not looking forward to a bb shower haha
A little shower update:
The swelling got way worse and everyone freaked out at the end and told me to get my blood pressure checked. I ended up at labor and delivery for monitoring. They gave me fluids, did a bunch of labs and everything is okay. I was having some contractions while there but my cervix is totally closed so they sent me home. What a day!
did you see in ultrasound that baby is girl or boy?

I am 28 years old and I am a RN but terrified of the birthing experience. I have seen it many times but I am scared of the pain, thank you for the information, hopefully I become pregnant in the next year. 🙂
I am 31 weeks and i already have my hospital and thank goodness I have all covered
I’m 29 weeks and I love watching your videos. They’re very informative. First time mum here ❤️
I'm 33 weeks and this is my first pregnancy.
35 weeks with surprise baby #2 and soo thankful for your videos 🥰
Just hit 30 weeks and it's go time! Love all your videos and content. They have helped me better understand week-to-week fetal growth, symptoms, and what to expect in my pregnancy. This video, while I knew most of it already, reassured me of what is and is not going to be a part of my birth plan! Thank you!
Thank you so much. And congratulations💜
30weeks too..
All 9 of my nieces and nephews were born there :)
Regardless I’m getting more and more nervous to give birth the closer I get, but it’s better to be prepared :)
May God through the intercession of mother Mary grant you safe and easy delivery
28 weeks tomorrow, my third child and I cannot wait.
I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and my friend (we live together) is currently 39 weeks pregnant so this is great to know. We both have our hospitals picked out, etc. Good luck Mamas. 🙏💕💙
Super helpful! I got checked this morning, I’m now 4cm, 90% effaced and baby is at fetal station -1. Currently 39+4
28w and 5 days today! I've never seen such a complete step-by-step breakdown of what happens in the hospital! I live in a different country but I'm sure it's pretty simila... thank you so much for this!! 🥰😍
I'm so glad you liked the video💜
40 weeks + 5 days. Hoping baby comes naturally❤
32 weeks today lord help me and all women pregnant in the world
Thank you !! Bless you too! I’m 31 weeks.

@@cuisineallfuntravelnetwork8615 I gave birth on Oct 1st he was 6 days early. I had to stay in the hospital for additional days due to the same diagnosis and was required to take a magnesium IV. Thank God you and your baby are both doing okay.
33 weeks with my first and learning all I can to prepare for labor!
34 weeks today. So glad you made this video 💜 Been watching your pregnancy videos weekly 😊
I am currently 35 weeks, just starting to think about all this stuff. These videos are very helpful
23 weeks tomorrow!! First baby and our rainbow baby ❤
