In 1998, Blizzard Entertainment released a short demo campaign for their then-upcoming game StarCraft. It served as a prequel to the main game, but many players now have never experienced it. StarCraft: The Looming Shadow is a three-part cinematic adaptation of that story, created in the StarCraft 2 Galaxy map editor.
10/10. would watch again. that some mighty fine voice acting at the start

Cool trailer, though the firebats look a little bit squashed from side to side. Also, why don't the hives use classic skins?
Unfortunately I've found the classic hatchery/lair/hive skins to be really low quality. From any angle other than the top down three quarters you see ingame, they lack a lot of detail and are just really shiny.

Do you think that the xelnaga were originally gonna be the villains of starcraft 2
Maybe that was an idea
@@Michael_1979 maybe the xelnaga seek immortality and so find species of purity of form and purity of essence, and maybe there is a third purity, the purity of psionic and used these three puritys to create themselves new bodies and transfer their consciousness into them. Maybe there’s a whole cycle to it, and maybe Duran is a hybrid from the previous cycle and was carrying out the next for his masters.
