I had beaten him at max 2600 but I got lucky in a queens gambit and had a pawn on g5 preventing his king from moving in the end game. Luka bot is much better at opening and middle more than endgame.
I remember playing Luka when he was like 1400 or 1600 and he beat me in the beginning and middle game. He had two pawns and a rook and I had just a pawn and he just kept making random moves because he never learned that part of the end game. It was interesting.

One thing that I would like to understand, is what do GM's try to mean when they say that "the position/move looks ugly." Is that regarding the way that they process the board mentally?
Its kinda like: playing this pawn move is the best, and necessary in the position. However, its a lil ugly looking because it doesnt ‘feel’ good and longterm it might become a weakness

Hikaru says he is playing without a clock because he is playing a bot. But Hikaru is also moving quite rapidly, as if he were in fact playing rapid or blitz. Can I assume that if Hikaru gave himself more time and took the game more seriously, as if he were playing a classical match, he would have a better chance of winning? Or would the bot be thinking on Hikaru's time and thereby negate any benefit to Hikaru?
@@jojomarso The implementation itself? Because as far as I know, all chess engines pretty much make use of the minimax algorithm with pruning to find the next best move quickly from a given position, and more time allows the algorithm to explore more nodes in order to find the best move.
