Yes, once you link your Mi account successfully, you can take out the sim card and use on a different phone. You can even switch the device and come back after 7 days to proceed and unlock the phone. Just make sure you don't remove the Mi account

You can use the phone while you for the time to unlock. Make sure you DO NOT log out from the mi account on the phone. TWRP is not supported on MIUI13 so you have to manual update the xiaomi.eu ROM at the moment
Hey so I tried unlocking bootloader last night but, rebooting into fastboot the logo is different. Is there an updated way to unlock it now that miui 13 is out? When connecting my phone with usb cable after fastboot it still says I'm not connected.
@@AdisopitoiTimwroi few more hours to go. the thing that was not mentioned was about the miusb driver. that was the thing not connecting my phone. a simple click and when it ran my laptop was able to read the device. now gotta figure out between eu rom or global. leaning towards global

@@Jackie-xt4oe if u use global IF and i say IF im not mistaken u have to root it and install safety net pass to make banking apps work! If u install xiaomi eu rom they have it in their rom and everything is buttery smooth (stable version)

There a difference between the Mi tool which allows you to unlock the bootloader and the MiFlash Tool which you can use to flash the phone. You need to download the miflash tool here c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2

After 8 days i tried to check my phone and went to developer options - MI unlock status and checked if my MI account is still link in phone but it says cannot verified so i try to logout my MI account and login again. So i went back to MI unlock status and my MI account is already link to my phone. When i start to unlock my phone, it still says wait 168hours to unlock the phone. Do i still to wait for another 7 days again? So After 7days, will i just proceed to unlocking procedure and wont do anything on my phone?
Yes, if your phone is not linked or you log out of the Mi account you have to wait again. Make sure you link the phone using the Sim card data and not wifi

When I click "unlock" it says "Please add your account in MIUI's Settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock Status. But When I check the "Mi Unlock Status" on my phone it says "This Device is locked" The phone is secured". So, I click on "add account and device" (because I already have an account, and logged in"). It then says "Added Successfully". I power off my phone. Turn it back on in FastBoot Insert USB Open Unlock Tool. And Unlock..but still same message ""Please add your account in MIUI's Settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock Status." Any ideas?

@@Fadiabuazeh why dnt use a customr rom better and also safety net is there through which you will be able to use any banking apps. Use Custom rom which are better smoother, elegant
@@AnizhAxelRai I jave installed custom rom eu and now it is working fine, google pay working fine but some apps not working since my device is rooted... actually I don't like to modify the original rom but this is the first time to use Xioami mobile, the best experience was with Samsung as total but not to consider the battery since Samsung devices consuming more power
@@Fadiabuazeh Custom roms too depends upon individual developer some are really good and passionate towards their project. So you have to find one and flash. Right now i am using Evo X for My Davincii. So yeah give it a try find a good rom with a good dev.
I do this all but after booting to fastboot, the unlock program still doesn't seen my phone. Phone is detected in Windows otherwise (when it's fully on).
Put your phone into fastBoot mode and go to Device Manage to check the driver is properly installed. Alternative open CMD and type "fastboot devices" command to make sure your device is displayed. if not check to makes sure you have the correct driver installed

Check to make sure you mi account is link to the device and follow the unlock process. Make sure you don't reset the phone or remove your mi account while you wait.
I download the file but there is no "miflash_unlock.exe". I only have "batch_unlock.exe" maybe its the same but my phone is not detected when in fastboot mode.

Yes, you take the SIM card out and use it on another phone. Once you have your mi account linked you won’t need the SIM card again

You need to go to developer option then link your mi account using the sim card registered to your Mi account. Don't use wifi

If you have the official global ROM you can update OTA, but the Xiaomi.eu ROM you have to download the latest ROM and perform the update.

Make sure you have the correct Fastboot driver /adb driver installed. Does it show your device when you type "Fastboot Devices" Command?

Once you unlock the bootloader you can't use Google pay. Try using the ROM from Xiaomi.eu Forum which comes with safetynet Pass

@@Fadiabuazeh why dnt use a customr rom better and also safety net is there through which you will be able to use any banking apps. Use Custom rom which are better smoother, elegant
@@AnizhAxelRai I jave installed custom rom eu and now it is working fine, google pay working fine but some apps not working since my device is rooted... actually I don't like to modify the original rom but this is the first time to use Xioami mobile, the best experience was with Samsung as total but not to consider the battery since Samsung devices consuming more power
@@Fadiabuazeh Custom roms too depends upon individual developer some are really good and passionate towards their project. So you have to find one and flash. Right now i am using Evo X for My Davincii. So yeah give it a try find a good rom with a good dev.

Why did you have to wait a week to complete the unlock?
That s the way Xiaomi allow you to unlock the bootloader.
I do this all but after booting to fastboot, the unlock program still doesn't seen my phone.
Phone is detected in Windows otherwise (when it's fully on).
Put your phone into fastBoot mode and go to Device Manage to check the driver is properly installed. Alternative open CMD and type "fastboot devices" command to make sure your device is displayed. if not check to makes sure you have the correct driver installed

"fastboot devices" return nothing (not even an error). Just puts me back into the cmd prompt.
you can update driver in mi unlock tool click the settings logo in the top right of mi tool

Don't check everyday and it might end up resetting again. Make sure you don't remove your mi account from the phone

If your bootloader hasn't been unlocked, just download the original ROM instead and follow the same steps

Check to make sure you mi account is link to the device and follow the unlock process. Make sure you don't reset the phone or remove your mi account while you wait.
Mine literally crashed... went to boot screen and then it just kept on looping boot to system. Nothing I can do about it.
Follow these steps to recover your phone. Make sure you download the correct Fastboot ROM for your device
I download the file but there is no "miflash_unlock.exe". I only have "batch_unlock.exe" maybe its the same but my phone is not detected when in fastboot mode.
Put your phone in Fastboot mode then connect it to your PC and run MiUsbdriver.exe, it could be that the phone drivers are not install.

@@andreiroid4357 As far as I know ADB driver is really required for this, maybe he already have ADB driver installed on his computer. just search on how to install adb driver, I cant explain it thru comment because I just figured it out by exploring device manager.
