I still can't believe that so many people use CGC. They are such a mess of a company. And after seeing them in person last week at Baltimore Comic Con, I would feel safer sending my comics to a paper shredder factory than sending them to CGC. What do they have to do for people to lose trust? Do a livestream burning submissions? Hell, people would still choose them.

PSA raised their prices on sports cards. My father was telling me today it's $75 to send in a card worth up to $1500. From what I heard from him its sounds just like CGC. They are all about the money and don't care about the customer. He has 10 items he wants to submit but doesn't feel it's worth sending in right now.
As someone who primarily collects trading cards...people need to be really wary of PSA. They are the McDonalds of grading. They upcharge all the time. And their grades swing wildly depending on who is doing the grading.

Exactly...there are too many conspiracies that have come true for me to just rule out any of them without digging deeper, haha. I don't think PSA opens their service up to the public until 2025, so I can't find any info on pricing. If a seller's stock is 90% 'see gee see' grading company, then why would the seller even mention any other grading company in a positive light? For example, a month ago when I asked Mr Long/Short at the mercenaut channel during their hot book alert, for proof about why he says the head grader of P S A is a liar, I am then subjected to people trying to make judgement calls about my sexuality in demeaning ways (Loved by the channel owner), while I then get to hear remarks about my mental health. Never tell anyone new to comics to refer to shilltube.
Exactly to your first point! This is why I think CGC is safe for a good while. Too many people (especially dealers) have invested big money into it just to let it fail. And, man, sorry to hear about your experience on the other channel. That's terrible.

I think the record label owner/private prison thing is more believable to be honest with you. I feel like the bananagate thing isn’t over yet and CGC may possibly be having their own legal battles. They’ve also just recently lost that other legal battle and had to shill millions. Now having said all that, I think you bring up some good points in your video (as always) and I’m not sure what’s going to happen. I know for some (like me), PSA’s label looks plain and the whole thing makes the comic look like one giant trading card. No matter how legit PSA may be, I think there’s a certain aspect to slabbing where you want your book to display a certain way and look nice. CGC wins in this area hands down. So despite me having my own issues with CGC’s grading, just having another option doesn’t sway me too much. They need to do better with their slabs in my opinion if they want people to switch.

If I type more than three sentences the comment will be typically auto-removed. If II say CGC within the context of me indicating how their owner takes part in running 'the usa' it will be removed. If I leave a comment saying how the "yoo ess a" is a fake country and / or evil it will be auto-removed. No calls for violence or bigotry or retaliation or hate or for people to be alienated or isolated (yet that is a huge part of how most 'americans' are bred to be 'entitled' to be 'upset'/cruel towards anyone 'different' / opposing, critical, or just plain different... ).

Holy smokes, I had no idea that grading cards was that expensive! I hope the competition in the grading wars will help out the customer.
