Regens CM0102 - What are Regens In Championship Mananger? Advice and Tips

- For someone new to the game the word Regen might not mean anything to them. But having an understanding of regens can bring a whole new level to the game. In this video I give an outline of what is meant by regens, what to look for when targetting regens, where you might find your favourite players and how to go about doing that. We find the respawned verisons of Mark Hughes, Thomas Hassler and George Weah! You can use this knowledge to sign a young verison of any player in the game. Romario! Bebeto! Neville Southhall!
I'm going to need to try this now. Heard of regens before but never really put any effort in it as I didn't know how to find them. This was really helpful!

Best regen story i have is ive found Oliver Kahns regen after a few seasons (called Michael Nönning), played already at a Bundesliga team, i was managing a mid table PRM team, so i had to splash out 12M pounds for him (was my entire transfer balance for that year), and though he had almost 8.00 average ratings at the end, he conceded 50+ goals in 38 matches in both seasons he played for me before i fined him for receiving a red card and he started hating me
Greatest Regen I ever had was Jurgen Klinnsmann’s. His regen name was Marcel Marz, scores 40+ goals every season.

Yep every player will come back as a regen after they retire! Maxim has aggression 17 balance 18 bravery 14 flair 18

@@daviddonald7949 hmm not sure mate. They still regen if they become a coach just keep looking and keep scouting. MC not the most common position so you should route him out eventually.
I'm not sure where I saw this, maybe your channel or another, but it was suggested that you change their nickname and they regen with the same nickname. Haven't had the chance yet as waiting for a couple to retire... also I dont seem to have notifications all the time when they retire, especially when they decide to switch to coaching... maybe because they were player coach or player manager
I had heard this and people in the comments here have mentioned it but when I tried it didn't work for me. I'm gonna try it again maybe the regen hadn't generated yet by the time I gave up. I think players do slip through the net if they get offered a coaching role while still playing.

Mr Manager basically covers everything in his video. I found a 16yo Oliver Kahn by going through every single German side and scouting every keeper under 21. Eventually found him and he’s already better than most keeper at that age! Very easy to find with 20 for aggression, balance and bravery.
@@bobbysmith5326 Kahn is defo a great shout ! The regens that have high stats, in the ones that stay the same seem to be much easier to find in the player search

Hi, that was great and interesting, but I have came across a situation where some players disappeared from the game (can't find them in the "find"), but some can be found as "retired". Does this mean they haven't really retired and regen'ed?
Also, did it happen to you that you were unable to find a regen the regular "famous players" search, then sent a scout to that country and found them? I am playing in the German league, and many players retired, but can't find any of their regens.. Please assist here :)
A lot if players go into coaching. Make a note of them, season look them up, as long as they still have player stats available to view they still exist in current game. Once only the coaching stats are available, the next new season they might be available on a free or regen at a random club.
From what I've seen, the retired status only lasts until end of season, then they will disappear and regen next season or one or two after that
Hello, great video and learnt a lot already. After watching this I was convinced I have Neville Southall’s regen in goal - so I started a new game to compare NS with my regen GK, however all stats you mention are the same apart from balance. Is this because the new game has probably spat out NS with different figures compared to my current game? Or can one of the 4 attributes be slightly different? Also, does this mean my regen can become as good as NS once was (if it is him). I do have images of NS and the regen if you want to see them somehow?

I've had the exact same thing also with neville Southall which leads me to believe sometimes one of those stats can be slightly different. The new regen will have the same potential as neville Southall so with training and games can get as good but won't always. All players have a potential rating of between 0 and 200 as an unseen attribute 200 being the best. Some also have - 1 or - 2 with - 2 being better they are more random in their outcomes.

@@bobbysmith5326 every new player is a regen yes. There potential is fixed and that determines how good they can become ie a player with 200 potential is very likely to develop excellent stats while someone with 100 potential is less likely but its not set in stone.
CM0102 Mr Manager okay, all understood. I’ve discovered a lot of regens in my game (now 2008). Luckily I’d already signed Zola, Adams, Keown and Bergkamp. There are some absolutes beastly regens who when re-checking the 01 season I saved seemingly don’t exist or at least weren’t famous. I wonder whether these are players who may have been unknown and quickly retired with great stats with the idea that some regens could be unpredictably great? Also, a player who has great stats and goals/assists and is of a very high value and winning awards is the regen of Dean Saunders, he’s on course to being a star on the game, surely that can’t happen??
@@bobbysmith5326 yea there is some randomness applied. I've had tsigalko regen who wasnt even good enough for non league. And some other low level players who were top level regen

What about double nationality? Wil they have both?
Someone who starts with double nationality (coloccini, lizarazu ect) will have both however a player who has gained dual nationality by playing in a country for long enough to qualify in the game will regen as their original nationality.
@@TommyYoung-uk2hw hi that’s not always the case. If a player gains dual nationality and then they play international football for their second nation then their regen comes back as the second nation. I’ve seen it happen twice.
I’ve noticed that players can come back with a different position. Have you ever seen that before?

I’ve wondered this. One player is a Le Saux regen based on attributes but is a DLC as opposed to a DL. Everything else is the same.
just had the same thing.. A player I gave a nickname before he retired (Aguero), now appears as a D (r)..
When u give them nickname they seem to Just be random. It is not nessesary that it is that player regen. I have done it a lot
So when the regens retire does another regen of him pop up🤔
Yeah same basic stats aggression balance bravery flair. They dont always come out as good
@@larry9179 can you edit a regen name for example if doing the 93/94 database on 0102 database and make the regen leo messi or ronaldo to enter the game
@@adidasaddict2023 no once you start the game and players start retiring, the regen name will be random. Sometimes the name resembles their original name. I guess you could use the player editor
