A good question and I wish I had a definitive answer. It will be about 8 weeks after Draganfly get new stock of exhaust and inlet valves that have been on back order about since Covid started. Hopefully that is not too far away as everything else is pretty much ready now.
You are correct. Timing is to right front. Degree wheel is on left rear simply for a reference point. It will always still have the same relationship to the other pistons so it does not really matter where it is.
Keep the videos coming. They are enjoyable. Could you get a clear shot of your engine stand in one of them. I assume it is homemade. Paul (Toronto. 57 Square Four)
Thank you for watching and I am glad that you are enjoying them. It means a lot. Yes, the stand is very much home made and I will be sure to include a shot of it in my next video.
Bear with me. Right front is number one Left rear is number three Left front is two And right rear is four? And firing pattern is 1-2-3-4 Is that correct?
Good question. I had always thought that it was because of the counter rotating crankshafts to give the Square Four its "beat". Answering your question and subsequent comment, it makes sense that the firing order would certainly make a difference.
Careful assembly with new and effective parts. The Squariel model will return to life to the great satisfaction of the owner and ours too!
Nice work. How long before the ignition timing video is published? Asking for a friend :)

Why it is you time the camshaft on the Left rear cylinder when the book states Right front

Bear with me.
Right front is number one
Left rear is number three
Left front is two
And right rear is four?

Is that correct?
Hi Glen. Almost! Yes, firing order is 1-2-3-4. No.1 is right front. No.2 right rear. No.3 left rear and No.4 is left front.
@@mrsquariel Thanks! I learned a lot from your video. Is it the firing pattern that makes the distinive sound?
