Não conseguia escolher a melhor música... E olha que eu nem entendia a letra naquela época kkk... Hj 18 anos depois já sabendo bastante de inglês e recorrendo à traduções tbm... essas músicas fazem ainda mais sentido pra mim... Por isso que dizem que música boa é atemporal.. Lembro de estar esperando ansiosamente por esse album e Daniel não sabia se lançaria as músicas já gravadas...Silverchair faz muita falta os caras eram genuínos apesar de a cada álbum ter uma temática diferente, é uma pena ter acabado. Minha primeira banda que acompanhei desde que era adolescente e realmente fez parte de muitas etapas da minha vida e acredito de muitas pessoas também
Ouço silverchair desde 2017, mas só recentemente parei pra ouvir o diorama, ficava naquela de frogstomp, Freak e neon. ter amadurecido me fez ter um olhar muito diferente pra esse álbum, agora vejo ele como meu favorito. É tão delicado, profundo e puramente bonito! Daniel é realmente um gênio.

I loved Diorama just as much as all the other albums they made, if anything I loved it even more because of the strange musical genre it was and the changes they made! I also feel like Daniel's beautiful and magnetic voice really got to shine in this album!

Esse album inteiro faz parte da minha vida, mesmo apenas tendo 15 anos, entendo a sintonia e a mensagem que Daniel queria nos passar, e o receio dele de passar a mensagem errada. Mas mesmo assim, ele conseguiu fazer com que esse álbum fizesse com que o ouvinte sentisse cada palavra que ele dizia.

Li uma biografia dele, que fala que ele já estava com o problema da artrite reativa ali. Fez o show na base de analgésicos, mas era inviável uma turnê assim.
Às vezes, só nativo para pegar tudo e olhe lá (sempre tem aquele conhecido que fala muito rápido ou com dicção ruim). No caso, o Daniel fala um pouco para dentro, baixo demais, provavelmente porque não está muito a fim de estar fazendo. Além do sotaque australiano.

Eu tinha a mesma idade. Na época, aluguei o cd para ouvir. Lembro a minha cara torta de “o que é isso?” assim que começou across the night com aquele falsete. Não que eu esperava algo como os dois primeiros discos, mas algo na linha do neon. Enfim, mal sabia o quanto eu ia viciar no diorama a ponto de achar um dos melhores discos já gravados.

Estava na casa de um amigo, gente boa demais, porque não curtia, mas acedia a todo pedido meu de “dá o play de novo aí”. O show de recife eu quis MUITO ir, morava no Ceará na época. Porém tinha 16 anos e meu pai vedou. Não digo que guardo mágoa, mas vez por outra eu o lembro de que foi um erro dele hehehe!

E a galera centralizada na frente do palco. Eu já sabia como era a "formacao" dos caras no palco kkkkk foi um dia épico. 9 de maio 2003 eu já tava com 17

The album wasn't bad, but I think it could've been alot better if Silverchair actually had more creative control over the record. They would've benefited massively from an independent record company managing them, they wouldn't be as popular but there's songs probably would've been more true to what they wanted, especially in there later years.

I recently recorded my band’s debut EP at the same studio that Silverchair recorded the demos for diorama. That studio is in the Central Coast, in a suburb called Somersby. and what was formally called the mangrove Studios is now called the Grove studios. I tracked drums exactly where Ben was tracking drums when the demos were being made. My singer and guitarist was singing in the exact same spot where Daniel Johns was singing for the album. We are both big fans of Silverchair and the album and it’s pretty surreal that 21 years later roughly, we recorded music twice in that same studio where diorama was made. We were told that Daniel Johns actually wanted that exact studio built specifically somewhere close for him to record music I could be wrong but based on the actual engineers that work there, it seems that it’s almost true. We even met a very close friend of Daniel Johns called Scott Horscroft who actually pretty much runs the studio. And occasionally Dan would pop into the studio every now and then to say hi because it wasn’t that far from his place in Newcastle. Unfortunately I’ve never actually ran into him in the studio with the amount of times that I’ve recorded there but I have bumped into him once in Newcastle and I’ve talked to him about it. Ben and Chris from Silverchair also knew about us recording in the same studio and they love that
I just completely love all of their work 😭, they’re truly amazing, geniuses, the change went through is just amazing, all of their five albums are great, I admire them a lot and hope I can do something as cool as them one day. I play guitar and bass, and I’m also trying to sing, and form a band, but I’m just too awkward with people and can’t really make new friends. I’ve tried composing songs and producing, with low investments, and I think I can get somewhere with that. I'm pretty late with all these band stuff, people in bands right now, as teens barely get any recognition, but that has been my dream since I was I don’t know, 8? I feel weird being a teen in between silverchair fans since most of them are around my dad's age, who is 46 now, and I’m 16, and it’s hard to find people with similar music taste as mine around my age, especially since I’m from Mexico (?), idk, but I think most silverchair fans are from Australia. I hope one day I can have the courage to look for people in a band or something, preferably before I’m an adult. Also, I’m planning to buy some of Daniel's guitar gear, or similar ones, I really like his gear… And yeah, I just came here to talk about something… My personal favorite albums from silverchair are Diorama and Neon Ballroom, and I just think it would’ve been awesome to see them live, specially around 2003, but I’m pretty late for that.
