For years that British voice yelling, “Inappropriate!” has occasionally popped into my head, and I could never remember what Conan sketch it came from. Thank you for posting it!
Making a Lincoln money shot skit is the best use for Conans Harvard history degree.
I hope they bring these kinds of skits back when Conan goes to HBO. This truly was the golden age of Late Night.

Inappropriate is quite legendary. It's a 20 year old skit I still remember like it's from last year.

Brian Stack as the "Men Without Hats" response guy just cracks me up, especially the waiter clocking him at the end :)

All of Brian Stack's stuff was great. His Brian LaFontaine guy was one of my favorites.

I'll always remember the one they did that was a German game show called Schtackenblockin where contestants had to arrange items on a table at right angles. The host measures the angles of the items with a set square, and when the contestant didn't get it *quite* right he screamed "Das is nicht un Schtackenblockin!!!" in her face

They brought in more Germans with German Shepherd's to rough her up, but the dogs started playing with her instead.
I watched Conan a bit randomly when he started out and always thought he was funny... but that skit was when I first realized his comic genius.
These old clips are the only thing keeping me going through the year

I _still_ remember this bit from time to time over the years, as my brother just sent me a link to some of these recently for example. I loved this, and early Conan in general since I was a teen, way back in the ancient era known as "the 90s".

Same here. Used to have it recorded on VHS. I even made a Potato Judge custom character on an N64 wrestling game. Still say "guilty!" to this day.

I think that big breasted girl was an intern at the time, because (IIRC) she was also in another sketch or two, but only the Skeleton one has survived.

Wow, every single one of these skits is brilliant, starting with Conan just using his thumb because no one remembered to put the prop remote on his desk. Laughed so hard at the Toddlers with Too Much Responsibility (esp the last one -- infectious smile!), Wild Tesch ... We need MORE Satellite TV! Surely there's programming coming out of Mars now ...

The air date in the descriptions though says it's 2009, and Conan looks like it's 2009, as does the video quality. They were funny years, I must research his funniness back then a bit closer then!

All Conan years are great, of course...but yes. Those were the prime Conan years.

IN-A-PRO-PRIATE! Haha, always loved that character. Fun Fact: the comedian playing him (and the “Dance if you Want To” guy) is Brian Stack - longtime writer for Conan. Now he can be seen & heard doing voiceovers on Stephen Colbert’s Late show.
And the Lincoln moneyshot guy at the end is Conan's head writer, Mike Sweeney, who can sometimes be seen standing next to producer Jeff Ross, at least in the old days

I am so glad that I am revisiting these clips. My friends and I watched Conan when he was on late night religiously. I would tear up laughing at the skits. Satellite channels was so far in the recess of my mind despite the fact that I will occasionally say: "Inappropriate!" ... I can't find the love is caca skit online either - "And it ain't no shocka!"
For those who may miss one of the opening jokes (generational thing), in these bits, Conan and Andy would brag about how *large* the NBC satellite dish was, so they would get more channels, which is of course not how satellite dishes work 😂 Anyway, enjoy!

If you ever encounter a Tesh in the wild, it is best to play dead. They instinctively want to taunt or soothe their prey with sweet music so if you play dead , it should quickly lose interest.
I cannot express how much I love Brian Stack and his real-life wife Miriam Tolan. And Sweeney!

I am so UNBELIEVABLY sad about Conan quitting the Late Night show. I've been so inspired by Conan that I've based most of my comedy career on his antics. Hell, a large part of my personality. For this, and many other, reason it's been a life long dream to go see a live taping of his show. I guess I waited too long. I don't have a good excuse...just that I waited too long. :,-(
He didn't quit, he was fired by COVID-19. I'm sure he was heartbroken about not getting his 30th year.
