I know what this is like... this poor bastard lol. I used to do freight haulers also diggers and loaders and the odd mining machine... it's not a nice job without a pressure washer.
Still got the job done and I’m sure plenty of people do it all the time. Ya, a pressure washer would be easier and quicker but if it’s not convenient or possible, this works fine :)
And without the correct chemicals. Might get a lot of hate for this but let’s be honest I would spend a lot of money on chemicals like the ones he’s using and they just don’t work on a big truck. Industrial degreasers and chemicals get the dirt right off
I do road construction and keeping my truck clean every day is hard but the body only gets washed on Saturdays unless you know mud and over zealous operator
Its not impossible just need the right drivers who'll look out for your equipment like its their own, I was one of those guys unless it was raining and nasty out my rig was always clean and polished.
Pressure washer would have helped so much. I've driven and owned my own dump truck. I've never been in a cab that dirty. Well done. Definitely need some angry acid based cleaner if your going to do more big truck aluminum wheels. If they aren't regularly cleaned it's a real pain. Loved seeing the staining in the paint come off. Good stuff
As a former dump truck driver this video was “SUPER” satisfying to watch. What a shame you couldn’t use the power washer, PLEASE do more big variety trucks like this. Great Job & Stay Safe!
Bro you do a great job bro I own trucks and have lots of knowledge and no one in my life did I saw clean a truck like you absolutely outstanding much respect from trinidad 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Nice to see someone else give these trucks some love. I try to detail every truck that comes into the shop on the inside. Don’t usually have time to do the outside.
Also, it's kinda interesting to see J standing to clean door panels 😂😂 he basically towers over everyone and this dump truck makes him look average height 🤣
I am glad that you are doing a dump truck. First time I have ever seen a dump truck be detailed. For me at the age of 59 and going onto the age of 60, the dump trucks of the era of when I was a little boy didn't have automatic transmissions. And also in those days, Freightliner first started making heavy duty cabovers. That was until the mid-to late 1970s when they made their first conventional. To detail a shift boot on a 5-speed, best thing to do is to put the shift lever into 2nd to get the back part of the boot that is towards the seat and then shift into 3rd to get the front part of the boot which would be just bellow or towards the windshield. The interior of this truck basically made of plastic. Most medium-duty trucks of my teenage years were either Ford, International or GM (GMC or Chevrolet). This is the 2nd medium duty truck Freightliner has built. It replaced the FL70.
Ive been watching for about two years now! You were my introduction to detailing videos! I actually sent you a message before Covid hit asking about detailing. I was going to travel out of state to get my mom's van detailed for her birthday by you. Super excited to watch this one! Keep up the good work!
As a truck driver when I clean my dump truck put every week I use a leaf blower to get all the dust out. Or compressed air. But since you don't have the option. A leaf blower will save a significant amount of work.
Yeah we were in Cincinnati at our son's football tournament. Weather was horrible! Also used to detail rental and lease trucks being sold for Ryder. Fun stuff!
I love this! I work in a detail shop , we polish aluminum on semi trucks, we do the interiors and power polishes. Its nice to see a video of interior cleaning of something bigger. I'm gunna try your methods when I do my next interior ☺️
I use to work at my father car wash when I was younger. A little trick we use to do when washing white vehicles was to put a little decreaser in the water. It help cut through the stain on the paint. God bless
Hi friend, I am watching the taboo, and such a question for you. why don't you buy yourself a tornador? he will help you a lot in dry cleaning, I myself am from Russia) good luck to you)
Why would you not bring all the tools you usually use... That's how you got the job ... Then show up and half ass.... I'm a fan of this channel but I just think you sold your self short on this one and the customer to... You did a good job.. but I think you could've done a great job.... and you know you missed a lot of little things...
I get where you’re coming from but he did also mention that he only had 5/6 hours with the vehicle and just with the size of it, to get all of the little details that he normally would he would have needed to have it for so much longer. I’m sure he’s mentioned before when working on cars that he takes about 8/9 hours on each detail and they’re nowhere near to the extent of dirtiness of this truck. I think if he had had much more time to work with the vehicle, say 2 days then he wouldn’t have left as many of the small details out. I think it also depends on how much the customer is paying and what they’ve discussed beforehand.
Just imagine how much more of a transformation this would be if he had the truck at home with all his normal tools (pressure washer, steamer, etc) and more time.. With the obstacles he faced the outcome of the floors alone was incredible!
I work in the oilfield and most trucks at the yard are like this. I usually take everything out of the truck then use a hard brush and break everything up then use a air hose and blow everything out then wipe everything down with some protectant then get going.
You a good one for this one cause with that wind and no pressure washer that dump truck would've still been filthy fooling around with me. Great job bro 👏 👍 👌
I can't believe the owner would let it get that bad, hope you got paid well for your efforts, I never let my semi get that bad, first time on your channel, definitely subscribing, awesome work!
Dump truck huh? This should be good 😊 My car is white too..paint is severly oxidized to the point it doesn't shine and white residue comes off on my fingers when i run my fingers over it. Polishing will help this?
I drove dump trucks and it was the drivers responsibility to keep his truck cleaned, when I was waiting to load or unload I was always wiping down to stay up with it. I couldn’t stand being in a dirty truck! Probably why I would get the newest trucks and my old ones would be passed down to the pigs.
The owner better have been appreciative and properly compensated you for your time along with a fat tip. Not only did you clean his disaster of a work vehicle but you also went a step beyond and protected it for easier future cleaning duty. Well done.
Love the videos you’ve always been my go to for these videos lol you’ve also inspired me to start my own little side business because I already clean cars at work for the airport!
I was so excited when I saw this! I know a while back, on the work truck video, I said I would love to see you detail a large truck like this. Was not disappointing lol
On those front hubs, I've used wd-40 to break down that grease into something that regular de greaser can take away. I've gotten the grease from a fifth wheel onto white cloth seats and used that to get it out before
I detailed a small bus once, and based on that experience, I would hesitate to tackle this job. I appreciate you for posting a video with so many challenges. Thank you.
You need a conversion tool for that vac i get a 5 gall bucket grab a few pvc pipe and a cover and make it were you can put water in the bucket and use that to collect all the crap without any dirt to go in the vac itself
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL I've been watching you for maybe 1 or 2 years I'm fairly new but you're amazing I love the tips you give they're always so helpful! I've tried watching other detailing videos and nothing compares to yours man no cap Haha. I'm not a detailer but I do work at a carwash and I love knowing we go through the same challenges with cars Anyways thanks for the awesome videos keep it up! 🤙I've been here since the Bailar phase haha
Nice work! I’m laughing my ass off watching you detail a big aggressive dirty dump truck with tiny little squirt bottles I’m thinking get this man a pump sprayer for the love of god. You know what your doing obviously but that was painfully to watch because I’ve been there 😂
Happy Saturday Stauffer Garage Crew! The winner from last week is listed in the bio and thank you all for being awesome!
Congrats on 1 mill
Painful to watch the outside without pressure washer...
I was thinking the same.
it would of been so satisfying if he used itttttttttttttttt
Thank you 💓💓💓
That's basically my water pressure on that hose..useless.
I know what this is like... this poor bastard lol. I used to do freight haulers also diggers and loaders and the odd mining machine... it's not a nice job without a pressure washer.
Detail a commercial vehicle without a pressure washer...
Don’t do that again lol
And that weak water pressure garden hose was equivalent to a 99 cents spray bottle . He still did a great job though .
Still got the job done and I’m sure plenty of people do it all the time. Ya, a pressure washer would be easier and quicker but if it’s not convenient or possible, this works fine :)
Yes pls

@@bighaulin2246 purple power works really good to get a big rig clesned
I used to own dump trucks (family has been in the dirt business since the 40s) believe me it’s IMPOSSIBLE to keep one clean for more than a day.
I can only imagine! Especially with dumping and hauling down dirt roads. I don't think the inside of this one had ever been cleaned
It could be IMPOSSIBLE to keep the outside clean, but come on...You can't work in that ugly and dirty interior.
I have a few box trucks used for inner city deliveries and the worst is taking off spray paint off the aluminum box
I do road construction and keeping my truck clean every day is hard but the body only gets washed on Saturdays unless you know mud and over zealous operator

“Your husband, brother, your boyfriend....” no love for the female detailers? We love a beautiful car too!
Thank you! I had the same thought.
Of course you caught onto that🤦🏻♂️
I was thinking that too
came here to say this.
I'm sure he had us in mind, I mean after all, this type of stuff only typically appeal to the boys.
As a former dump truck driver this video was “SUPER” satisfying to watch. What a shame you couldn’t use the power washer, PLEASE do more big variety trucks like this. Great Job & Stay Safe!

If anyone ever tries to use "dump truck" as an insult again, I'm gonna refer to this video. Cause this dump truck looks fiiiiine.
Also, it's kinda interesting to see J standing to clean door panels 😂😂 he basically towers over everyone and this dump truck makes him look average height 🤣
Your sill and patience is humbling. So is the professional accepting of th e working limits of equipment and time and location.
LOVED seeing a hard working Freightshaker get a trip to the spa. 'Workin Man's Blues' was playing in my snowy Sunday viewing. 👏
Ladies might enjoy the detail brushes too 🎁. I know I would love a set.

Thanks for watching!
@@StaufferGarage every week when you upload im here!
This is the best video you have ever made please do more big trucks like these
How come you couldn't bring your pressure washer with you? Love this though cause it shows you can still do an AMAZING job without one!
I think it was to windy
I believe he explained why
Also thought this thought maybe no Electric till the polisher came out
Maybe because it was freezing outside!
Pressure washer is your Best Buddy.

I like trucks, i like detailing, i like this video. Greetings from Germany
You did a really fabulous job on that truck. It must of felt so rewarding when you were done. It looks great
Great job! It looked fantastic at the end!
Great video! I'm about to detail my first dump truck fleet this morning.

I could only imagine how much you wished you had your pressure washer
Considering the fact that they had terrible water pressure you did an amazing job on the outside.
And that ladies and gentlemen, that's how you polish a turd
Haha
I wouldn't call that a turd. That truck has probobly done more work than you ever will.

Just incredible given that this detail was done off site! And a dump truck!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Something tells me that fire extinguisher is expired
Quick tip, if you open the hood its super easy to reach all the hood surface
This dump truck looks like It doesn’t like to be cleaned
This is the Saturday-clean-the-house motivation that I need. Thank you!
my family owns several truck businesses. really going to enjoy this.
So much better than i thought it be. U do good work

The fact you did that without a pressure washer is impressive! Shows some skill there for sure. 👏🏻👏🏻
Hey Mr. Stauffer you should use wise guy for the tires from shine supply it does all the work for you especially for tires like those.
It was nice to see a different vehicle being detail, Awesome job 🙌
Really enjoyed this, especially as it was the first commercial vehicle I’ve seen professionally detailed! Great work
That is an impressive difference!
I noticed he didn't even get anywhere near the dump bed
So I started a detailing business because of you at age 10 thx and 12 now
Watching the color change from the polisher was crazy!
omg, this is the first time im going to see a truck detailing video. im going to enjoy this 😃😃
Beautifully done! But I honestly wanted to see the pressure washer used, splashing on that wind screen!

As an owner of a white car, you should try magic erasers if you haven’t. It seems to take off that extra layer of grime and leaves a nice shine.
