It's really sad how Rengokus dad ended. As someone who raised he's children with so much passion and he's determination to teach them about he's ways to a broken man furies because he feels he haven't accomplished anything in he's lifetime. With all he's rage showing from the outside , in the inside he's genuinely sad about losing Rengoku. It feels like he just wants to forget about he's life as hashira, feeling like he hasn't made any changes and that all he's work was pointless. That's why he drinks so much alcohol he founded consolation in it, it ease's he's sorrow...

There are plenty of people who are anime only, ,so even if there are many who may have read the manga, why should you spoil it for those that haven’t? If you release info ahead of time, it will just negatively influence their reactions. In other words, this is what they mean by SPOILing. Have some consideration for others.
