Infinity Castle, Mugen Train, Red Light District arc, Sunrise Countdown, Mount Nataguma are all infinitely better, even Hashira training arc is arguably more enjoyable. Even visually it's Ufotable's weakest project in almost a decade, not surprising as it was a low priority for them considering how bad the arc was in the manga. Ufotable allocated their main staff on Mahoyo movie, Genshin Impact and even Touken Ranbu, just goes to show how season 3 was the lowest priority for them.
Actually i have to say The Animation in the Start Off/First episode of Season 3 knocks out all the animation of all the other's...I'm not spoiling just stating that in the future when Haylo & Kiss get to that episode we are going to see 100% downright Amazed & shocked Faces with eyes and mouths completely wide open

(WARNING; don't press ''read more'' and read further for the people who dont want spoilers!) that in s2 when at almost the end of the fight that happens with uzui and gyutaro are down bad and SO INTENSE my blood was boiling bro and the effect's animation is the best in that 1 fight its absolutely majestical and magical. and the plot twists. when we thought that inosuke and uzui died at that point when inosuke got stabbed and uzui poisoned and even so at the end of the episode when gyutaro's body exploded we almost thought all of them died. uzui just never forgot to make that season flamboyant (my opinion btw❤)
@jason42080 the big moment between Tengen and Gyutaro hasn't been topped yet. But S3E1 had some of the most detailed animation. But that's in regards to the Castle.

The theory I have of Rengoku’s father being harsh is because he was grieving for his wife and trying to dissuade his son(s) from being a Demon Slayer because it’s a dangerous job and a high likelihood of being killed. It’s bad enough losing a spouse, but losing a child is an even worse experience a parent can go through.

And, here, we discover a tiny play in japanese: The sound "ひ" (the "hi" in hinokami, which is read as "he") is the sound of the kanji (ideogram) 火, which means "fire", and - since they were thinking about some sort of "elemental breathing", was thought as "fire breathing" (and 'hinokami' as "god (spirit) of fire"). Kyojuro's father Shinjuro Rengoku drinks a lot since he lost his wife. He was the strongest Hashira when he was in the demon slayer corps but he quit being a hashira and turned to alcoholism due to his wife's death. That's why he stopped teaching his son.
Please remember that Aoi is also in Demon Slayer corps, so when she's disobey orders from her superiors she needs to be punished. Often in military the punishment was simply execution, but this hashira decide that Aoi is just a child so he simply slap her in butt as her punishment
Ladies, don't be angry too much about the butt spanking. Tengen is a bossy person, he doesn't like his subordinates disobey him. He is a hashira, the highest rank in the slayer. Tanjiro cs, Kanao and Aoi considered as his subordinates. That butt spanking is a punishment he gave Aoi for not following his order, you could say it is similar like a parent spank their children for disobeying them. It is an old fashioned cultured in Asian country (considered DS setting in Japan taisho era). "subpar" translation. there were a lot of errors, or sentences that weren't translated at all

For why Rengokus dad is so bitter, he was a Hashira so he has seen countless peoples lives destroyed by demons, has seen his close friends die in front of him for years and everything just to find out the breathing style you dedicated your life towards wasn’t even the best one for killing demons, then on top of everything his wife gets sick from an illness and with all his strength he has to watch her die slowly….it would break most people honestly
spoiler - Rengoku decide to quit when he got to know that even sun breathing and Yorichi failed to kill Muzan . A lot of demon slayers quit even back then when they heard Yorichi failed to kill muzan as muzan can just disintegrate into millions of pieces and escape
