RARE Coopersville and Marne Freight move

Its a very hard to catch move, and with a heads up we managed to catch this brief and interesting freight train. Coopersville and Marne 7014 runs from Coopersville to Walker to pick up a pair of empty centerbeams from Standard Lumber and shoves them to the interchange in Grand Rapids. Along the way we catch 7014 at some locations rarely filmed in West Michigan, as they are for the most part devoid of any regular train traffic.
Note: 7014 is an SW9, not an SW7.

Cool! I got a cab ride on the GTW 7014, in downtown Kalamazoo in 1979 From BO Tower to Checker motors and back. I have pictures of it at BO Good to see they are taking good care of it. Very good job on narration, history, and coverage!

Sweet catch! What equipment does the signalized crossing use?

I believe it is a mix of Western Cullen and WRRS, although I haven't looked at it in detail. I'll get back with ya on that.

Insurance is too expensive, and there is the issue of hollow ties between Marne and Walker
