I used shrink tube to keep my exhaust pipe on my Scorcher 😅 Can't be driving it without it! It won't work! I went with a ball diff too, it handles like 5% better with it hahah
Awesome buggies Steve. It's always good to see the real vintage buggies from the beginning of RC cars. Sometimes these rubbers make sense for dust protection, as long there're no other holes in the chassis for letting dirt in. But it's annoying the don't last long.
Two great kits! I have yet to get the Sand Scorcher but it is on the list of one to get! Bother are very cool classic kits and the Scorcher is a real icon kit!
These were both inspired by real cars that ran the 78-9 mint 400.. Tamiya execs visited the mint and tge baja races and then built cars like they saw . Tge blazing blazer was also one they based on a real baja/mint car.. I love these
Isn’t the suspension a copy of a full size VW beetle and dune buggy? As that’s how Tamiya started the “buggy” by checking out sweet rigs in southern California

Thanks, I have to take one out for a run!
It's a cool chassis, I just have a Rough Rider now but my first ever RC was the Scorcher. Never had the Fighting buggy.
O nice!! you should get a scorcher!
@@ShenRC Well, in the future I have a scorcher body coming 🙂
Some of those Tamiya suspensions are crazy! Nice showcase Steve!👍😊
Yep back in the day wonky suspension goodness!! 👍
Love these old chassis. They are super heavy but all that metal sure looks cool.😎❤️
I agree!! good fun runners!
Sweet Rides, id ask how far out can you control them? never had 1 or even enjoyed a drive.
Hi thanks, With today's 2.4 radios you can go so far you probably would not be able to even see the car!
