Easy Peony Flower Tutorial
Today we will learn how to make a Semi-open Peony Flower which can be a show stopper when made correctly for your cake decoration.
This tutorial will help you master the Peony without any special tools or even a styrofoam ball. Learn how to make and shade this beautiful and realistic flower along with basic foliage in a step-by-step tutorial now.
Tools & materials needed:
foil
white Gumpaste
cornstarch to prevent sticking
gel color to shade the gumpaste
water
thin paintbrush to apply water
thick round/flat brush for dusting cornstarch
flat/thin paintbrush for shading
18 gauge floral wire
Peony petal cutter set
gumpaste rolling pin, foam pad, and ball tool
dresden tool
petal dust (I have used bright pink, white, blush pink, ivy green and ochre yellow)
