- A poem of swallows by Bai Juyi
Two swallows are on the beam of my roof, one male one female
They built a nest, gave birth and started a family of 6
The babies grew day by day twittering for food
Worms are no easy meat The babies are so hard to feed
The tiredness of their crawl and beak couldn't beat their determination to get the babe fed
They went Back and forth a couple of times a day and couldn't let these worries go away
After 30 days the parents shrink and the babies prosper
They sweated for their babies' education (to sing and fly)
One day the baby's wings has fully grown the parent brought the baby (not anymore) out to the tree
And the babies just flew away
They never look back even their Mum and Dad are screaming for them
so then the parents returned to their nest morning about birds who were once their kids
oh swallows - you shouldn't be sad you should look back
Isn't that how you were treating your parents too?

啁啾(終)夜悲~not中夜悲
樑上有雙燕，翩翩雄與雌。
銜泥兩椽間，一巢生四兒。
四兒日夜長，索食聲孜孜。
青蟲不易捕，黃口無飽期。
觜爪雖欲敝，心力不知疲。
須臾十來往，猶恐巢中飢。
辛勤三十日，母瘦雛漸肥。
喃喃教言語，一一刷毛衣。
一旦羽翼成，引上庭樹枝。
舉翅不回顧，隨風四散飛。
雌雄空中鳴，聲盡呼不歸。
卻入空巢裏，啁啾終夜悲。
燕燕爾勿悲，爾當返自思。
思爾爲雛日，高飛背母時。
當時父母念，今日爾應知。
