"Hey, Settra, it's awesome that you invited us to play tennis." "I am a magnanimous King." "Here. Serve the ball over, please." "SETTRA DOES NOT SERVE!"
Following that logic, the Vampire Coast only needs a giant flame thrower to win the battle since all the skeletons are made of sand, turning them into glass
Tomb Kings and the Vampire Coast have such amazing conceptual units. I mean, a mecha made out of a pirate ship using its undead crew as ligaments and muscle. The Sebek skulled avatars? Ursula on her giant hermit crab summoning kraken tentacles! And let’s throw in a 75 foot tall skeleton archer. I know the Undead are bad guys, but I love these two armies for their coolness. This was great!
Ancient Egyptian Epic-Dread Fantasy Undead vs European Post-Classic Badass Fantasy Late-Medieval Undead! So, this is very good idea! Awesome! Nice Battle, bro!
The VC Lord still has the Problem that her minions cost something. Tomb Kings armies can be bought and maintained for the low-low price of 0. Sure there is an army limit and unit limit for the stronger ones, but they could still have a powerful army in the back waiting to reinforce their victory or snuff out the army of an enemy that barely won the first battle. Vampires and necromance can also only direct reanimate mostly basic units. Which makes those armies rather squishy. Added to that is that both factions are good against living factions, but the tomb kings hate Vampires and Necromancers because history with Nagash, they get bonuses against them through tech and skills. Another plus for Tomb Kings is that they are not hated by the living, they do not sacrifice them, they don't eat them, they don't turn them into mindless zombies. As a Tomb King forming alliances is rather easy compared to vampires.
One of my absolute favorite Total War: Warhammer battles ever. Settra…gotta respect the guy, especially his line at the end. Those ushabti sweeping in at 5:48 to help their commoner soldier comrades…so epic.
I imagine this must have been a rather unusual experience for both armies; both are presumably used to fighting living opponents, using their undead visages to strike fear into the hearts of the living before claiming their souls and all that. This time it’s like: “haHA! Flee before our undying monstrosities!” “We say thee NAY! YOU must flee before OUR undying monstrosities!” “Oh... well...” “Yeah... this is kinda awkward for us too...” “...wanna just hit each other and see who falls over first?” “...sigh, sure. We’ve got nothing planned this... century...” Meanwhile the Bretonnians are watching the battle from a distance like “...yeah, we’re gonna pass on this one...” 😜😆
Tomb Kings undead are a world of difference to VC undeads. Tomb King undeads are the soul of the soldier returned to his/her body, while VC undeads are mindless slaves bound to the will of a necromancer or vampire. In 'The Serpent Queen' by Josh Reynolds you learn that the common undead in Nehekhara still see the world as it was, and not as it is. It is only those of well preserved status that see the world as it is. Zabbai, the champion of Lybaras tells Felix about this, and she mentions that it must be a blessing for them. Antar, prince of Mahrak also says that the reason for why the fight each other so much is because there are nothing else left for them to do. He asks Felix to imagine that he can't taste wine or food anymore, that poetry feels empty or that he can't enjoy the touch of a loved one - that is thre reality for all those undead Nehekharans that have been well preserved. An exception to this is High Queen Khalida. She is still able to feel humor and other mortal feelings. So all those soldiers following Settra, sees Settra as a living person, and the enemy as what they are - undead monsters.
*tokes Old Toby with my Hobbit friend* ...that was pretty wild. Gotta love it when your favorite side wins. I like how you push the limits every time we you make a new battle, GameThumb, and we can see that you know what you're doing. Can't wait for the next one!
Shetra! He is a great and great leader of Tom King! Although in End time he was captured and killed by Nagash, who became a true god of hell, his bravery and belief are lessons that people should learn! Mounrguls! I never thought they'd compete! Especially, I was very impressed that there were so many catapults. The damage is great! And I was surprised to see six Necrofex Colossus. The battle between the countless soldiers of the two tribes was amazing!
Those banshees were like look upon face and terrified. Those skeletons were like no look upon face and be terrified I am you in few centuries. See what happens when you don't take care of your skin.
Very intense battle. But if i identified correctly it was the Tomb Kings that won the battle. That actually was no surprise to me. Undead warriors are far more fearless then Vampire troops. An with the undead being immune to fear an having no true life force in which to feed upon they will keep fighting to the last even if there out classed or outnumbered.
Fuck yeeeeeaahhhh woooooo, finally tomb kings win. When they fought the lizardmen i really was kinda mad cause it looked like they were out numbered and needed more big boys, but even still that battle was amazing, as well as this one. Cant wait to see who the tomb kings fight next, remember they have numbers.
Still new to warhammer lore but from my eyes the undead (normal) are tomb kings, and the undead (corrupted) are vampires. It’s not much but it just helps me process the lore lol
Nice cinematic. Although it is a bit anti-climatic that both armies played against their faction's strength: TK deployed too many crappy infantries instead of construct/monstrous troops, while the VC didnt have nearly enough ranged units. Where is the thicc lady cannon?
Settra remains desiccated!! Would have been nice to see an army with more constructs fielded, seeing the tomb scorpions and war sphinx tear through infantry is my fav part of tomb kings
Never really got in to Vamp Coast, but I've got to say, those Depth Guard (I think) are my favourite looking infantry unit. Such a bad ass armoured vampire looking unit. Just can't seem to get into the Nautical theme for the rest of the faction.
They're in my top three factions to play. Crazy ass gunpowder heavy army with a multitude of monsters. Plus powerful hoard mechanic that lets you free roam across the game, fantastic collection of Legendary Lords, unique magic that lets you summon up a ghost ship to broad side people, and a giant walking transformer zombie battleship robot!
The VPC's undoing was not having the gunner variant of the Rotting Prometheans. Those things are vastly more lethal. Though opting for mostly polearm depth guard is a good thing considering that's about all depth guard are good for is anti-large melee units. Their standard melee team is awful. ( Literally one of the worst " top tier construction " units in the game. ) You work hard to get to them, then learn that for instance the Empire can beat them with two swordsmen divisions. One head on, one flanking. It hurts. XD The polearm ones are vastly more useful though. Great at blunting large beast charges and taking a hit due to their armor, plus in a pinch, they can be a rearguard action for your cannons, rifles and the like. ( Though I use animated hulks as my rear guard. That's about all those things are good for. You get them so early because that's basically what they're intended for. Taking hits so you can reposition your men while the enemy is busy. )
Could you please let us know which reshade preset and/or visual or environment mods you using? The both most visually stunning factions fighting each other in this video is way over the top!
"Hey, Settra, it's awesome that you invited us to play tennis."

Nice joke
Not a single person died in that battle.
But a lot of crabs did
Well, that applies to everything but the crabs
@@matteocave3886 I hope mine would too
True
Yes, but it looks like about 20K+ people died to staff the armies lmao
Settra always has a place in my heart, as he was the only faction that was trading with me.
I dont understand he is a mummy
He is once human and humans will have temptations of shiny stuff or other exotic things.
The Tomb Kings also rule over quite a few living humans.
Kroq gar?
@@holyxbord fat mazdumandi?
That time Settra ordered sea food via Über Eats
I love how simple and straight forward this battle is. No slow motion, almost no pseudo-cinematic wannabe. Other channels try this and fail
Exactly, because for gods sake im here wo watch them FIGHT.
The giant crabs can be easily killed, all you need is a _really_ determined sushi chef.
or a really big cooking pot
All the crabs are zombies though, so might not be worth it lol
Following that logic, the Vampire Coast only needs a giant flame thrower to win the battle since all the skeletons are made of sand, turning them into glass

It’s a combination of both.
The two coolest looking factions.
And after the battle the respective lord snaps it's finger and everyone gets up. GG guys see you next time!

Meanwhile, Ash from "Army of Darkness" is just kicking back with some popcorn and a 6-pack, making trademark one-liners.
That moment when one idiot on Vampire Coast army said: Murder them!
Settra: Idiot! We're already dead!
so are they...

Fear of a magical nature is different from a living fear. The magical fear can instill the phobias and horrors that being feared in life.
Tomb Kings tend to fight each other more than any outsiders, and battles between them do tend to follow that general pattern :P.

Scorpion King vs. Pirates of the Caribbean
This looks like it is a fantastic battle. This is like a fantasy dream war movie that I didn't know I needed to watch.
epic teaser at the end
Yup🤟🤟
14:44 dafq was that 😂
An undead army that still fights with pride and integrity. I respect that.
The way those Ushabti died at 7:26 was really funny.
Good use of artillery early on in the fight, all the best, Garry
Settra does NOT SERVE!!!..HE RULES!
Both armies were just flexing their forces for straight 3 minutes.
A CRAB IN A DESERT? WHAT IS THIS HERESY???? BY SIGMAR!
The armored vampire troops look like the night lords!
The vampire coast army looks like Davey jones army right there.
Them catapult bois have VIP seat to the show, they just chilling behind after a few shots
Eventually, you’ll have to do Rakarth vs Imrik for the ultimate Warhammer Pokémon battle
Imrik is totally the guy who fills their party with legendary Pokemon, whilst Rakarth is out there trying to finish the dex.
Honestly I was unsure of who would win until the very end. Glad TK did tho--they're one of my favs. Also happy to see a Giant Scorpion survived.
WOW YOUR PC MUST BE A NASA ONE XD IT LOOKS REALLY GREAT!!
6:19 did anyone see that single zombie me moving in the right it's looking like he is dancing 😂😂😂😂
During the explosions ? I saw it too
Two factions of undead and neither one of them thinks to say to the other: "Hey, can we do this thing at night?"
5:30 yes Sand King has skorpions, I'm little disappointed didnt see them at begining, we need something against the crabs :)))

Excellent work. As usual. Lacks of music maybe?
Oh yeah right
If he used magic the coast wuld have won in 2 Winds of death since skelyboys cant take a hit
Wow cool Battle
Well done
Both are undead armies, yet completely opposite. The Vampire Coast is chaotic while Tomb Kings is organized like any professional army.

This was hard for me because they are my two Favourite factions
and i cant wait for you when warhammer 3 to come out to do things like this
Ah the charging vampire coast, said no one ever.
Nobody died in this battle because everyone was already dead
Pun intended
Looked like all the Vampire Coast ranged unites ended up in melee for some reason.
3:00 oh yes my lord
The great thing about this battle is no one died because they were not alive to start with.

Pretty undead battle.

Pirates of the Caribbean vs Prince of Persia
Is this like a game like totally accurate battle simulator were you make your own battles?
do I think there has been a strange sound in these movies for some time ? as if recorded with a weak program
I didn't notice. Maybe I did record with low bitrate. Will check if I can do anything about it.
