Im about 1/10 a mile from a biker bar, and what you said is 100% accurate... Best places to get a burger at or some food, watch a band, shoot pool, do karaoke and enjoy a drink. I've ran into an assortment of "characters" its all how you react and act.
Nice to see another Buckeye . You are 100 percent right about the biker bar. Go in, be respectful, mind your business and all will be good just like any other bar.
Itchymoche n Vee, You hit the nail on the head, go in and mind your own business. I normally stay out of most bars because I’m smaller and used to be a easy target for bullies. Usually someone bigger than me stepped up and stopped it, I’d buy that person whatever they were drinking and struck up a friendship with them. Continued Prayers for Vee and You.
I am the opposite I am like a semi shaved yeti and there always seems to be one guy who is little wants to try me. I abhor violence though and can cry on command.
the world is full of cowards, and bullies are some of the weakest-- next time one fucks with you, pop him hard and dont stop until hes out-- yes, u will get hurt but they wont bully you again and youll be respected --ive never seen one single bully that wasnt a complete gutless coward--thats why they pick on smaller people--because it makes them feel big and bad--so just be humble and friendly and soft spoken and when a big bad bully comes along, give em a reason to remember you.......
When I lived in Missoula, many years...OK, decades ago, my favorite bar was the Biker bar downtown; Luke's. Loved that place, I don't ride, but got to know all the local bikers. IIRC, the owner/ partners were union electricians. That was a fun place, great music, never s cover charge, and never any trouble from idiots!
Yes I had my bike out for the first time last Saturday it was nice real nice, as always my friend I enjoy your videos please keep them coming, and yes I am just like you, there’s no way I’m going to a Mexican restaurant without getting a margarita or two, give my best to the Mrs. V and you take care of each other, and hang in there
Speaking about Biker Bars, I was raised in the Detroit area but lived in Canada, back in the 60s I had some of the best times in the Black Biker Bars, and clubs sure got to meet a lot of Mo town recording stars,
Had bike out once, this year, don't think I've ever had a problem with any watering holes, I'm like you I've had my drinking days but I'd rather soft drink or water the whistle then take chance on bike.
I'm an old geezer now but as a young man growing up in Detroit we knew that it was wise to avoid patched bikers there. They didn't want to make friends with you and, frankly, most had serious anger or substance issues. They wore their attitude like armor. I later moved to Texas where everyone is very friendly in general and the riders I've encountered have been great. There have been a few that aren't interested in socializing beyond their own club and I'm okay with that too. Most icehouses that cater to riders/bikers won't tolerate unfriendly or stoopid behavior and I've never witnessed any such behavior myself. Basically, be friendly or stay home!
Here in Washington State haven't seen 60° yet an snowed last nite, but lots rain! I live right above 101 an can hear all the bikes. Not much movement of bikes here yet! Can't wait too hear the rumble!
I'm pretty sure you just described 90% of all bars and 75% of all clubs in the US. Most people are cool if you are, but there are a few assholes in the mix that are getting drunk to take out their sober problems on anyone that makes them feel insecure. Unfortunately, that's the way the bar scene turns
I've been going to different types of bars since I was 16 years old ( when the drinking age was 18 ). There was a biker bar with nude dancers that me and my buddy used to go to in East Baltimore called Lucky Spirits. I had a 1979 Honda CB650 and my buddy had a 1981? Yamaha Virago 750. Once in a while the guys would rib us about our bikes, but most were pretty cool to us.
Don’t know if you have it in US but l use Silkolene FS365 solution liberally as a first coat, covering your brakes and tyres as it’s oil based, and after you’ve been out in the crap, let it cool a bit then spray on the worst bits. Repeat for as long as you want then just wash it off with a cold hose. New subscriber, enjoying your more relaxed attitude sir! 👍🇬🇧
Hey Itchy n Vee! Hope you guys are doing well. You are right. Even in a regular bar. Sometimes guys have egos take over especially when they drink too much. I went into a bar one time and my buddy was with me. We were playing a game of pool when some drunk guy was trying to accuse my friend of looking at his woman. I had to interrupt and deescalate the situation because my friend kinda has zero tolerance for stupid and it would’ve not ended up well for the drunk guy being that my friend was also sober lol. Basically come out respectful and you’ll get the same treatment.
There are not to many of us left..itchie..so many of your story's relate to all us old saddle bums..who remember the days...and I seen MOTT the HOPPLE too..in sac..72..my new AMF sportster wouldn't start after concert...my gal at the time called her parents...they took one look at me..and ..well you know the rest of this story..keep em coming ..smittykyles
Seems like all the cool bars have closed. Crossroads in Wakeman Carl's country in Elyria, The secluded Inn in Avon. Now I just drink alone in my garage.😝🍺
been riding over 50 years now. Been to all sorts of bars, club houses, rally's etc.. Ridden with clubs, been IN clubs, etc.. Never had ANY problems with anyone. But then, I'm not an idiot, and show everyone respect.
My way of entering a Biker bar. I park my WW2 Zundapp Sidecar bike, front wheel to the kerb as I have a reverse gear. I unlock the MG 42 from the sidecar, sling the 200 round belt over my shoulder and stroll right in. The stunned silence amplifies the sound of my spurs and makes it easy for the staff to hear my drinks order. No-one bothers me. Then I wake up. But I want one of them bikes ! ( and the MG 42 )
Hello again Itchy and Vee, Never been in Genos on its on 42, right.. I did go in the bar father south though. A few years ago an old school mate and his wife from UK came over to visit us, both rode bike in UK, he still has his 1970s Triumph three cylinder.. Any way we spent a week in Myrtle Beach, it just happened to be black biker week, I though there would be some trouble and wondered if my friends would be nervous, well we had a great time talking to all those black guys and gals, taking tons of pictures of their bikes etc. I hope Vee is feeling well, now she can get out and enjoy the better weather. Great story from you again.
Sure. I have never had any issues with bikers. I am not one myself, but I have run into plenty. I have always got along well with them. They have some protocols, but they are people just like anyone else.
I'm going to have to check out Genos. I live in Strongsville and have been here 4 1/2 years. Moved from the Hartford CT / Springfield Ma area for a job in Strongsville. Last weekend Saturday was nice, so I took my carb off the 01 Fatboy and replaced the intake gasket because last fall it was carb farting. That fixed the problem with 10 minutes' worth of work. I rode around the block Saturday and then took the wife out for dinner. I really didn't want to ride it because of the salt. Saturday Night it rained and rained so after I cooked a Sunday pork roast I took the bike and rode around Olmstead falls, then to Berea to the American Legion and had a couple beers. Wasn't an epic ride just couldn't leave it alone after all winter. Thanks for mentioning Geonos and now I'm going to check the place out...
@@itchymoche for sure, I live just north of lodi a few miles Chatham twp , hope to bump into you someday and I will say hello for sure, I don't get much except for a ride once in a while or a doctor appt, or get a bite to on occasion
Ah the old bar hoppin days with the boys on a Saturday night in the summer, how we made home sometimes with all bikes and no one in jail is beyond me. Those days well behind me do enjoy going to places like you mentioned tho meeting good peeps and a nice ride. You can usually tell what one's to stay out of pretty quick or if their named the Blue oyster or Golden Bannana 😂
Fun story, a buddy and I walk into a bar in Greenwich village see bunch of cute chicks, big butch bar tender looks at us and with a smile says I think you boys are in the wrong bar. Have a beer, hit the road! True story. Oh we had a beer hit the road, everyone laughing! It was ok!
As an introvert a do suffer from a bit of anxiety going to places with other bikers especially since I don't know anyone in the community really yet. I have gone to a few events and a camp out and a poker run with Pasadena Mc and memorial meet up with the rough riders but I did feel nervous going alone. I don't think I'll ever get over the anxiety of it but I still push myself to go to the events alone. I just focus on filming. Got Born Free so cal bike fast Los Angeles moto camp out the Pasadena Mc green horn ride. Should be a great year for rides and events. #gofknride
I usually have a good time at Biker bars. I use to go to a Bar called Bubba's and it was a Outlaws MC hangout, and never had a problem. But, I'm 5'2" and me and 5 or 6 of my friends ended up in a Biker bar we've never been to, and as soon as we walked in one of the patrons in there yells out, " Who let the midget in here " ?? My bro's weren't to happy to hear that and said that I shouldn't worry about this asshole and they all had my back. Luckily after a half hour or so this dude had left the bar and we never had any problems after that. I realize I'm short, but I am not considered a midget. And, even if I was a midget, who care's. There's always has to be one asshole to ruin your fun.
john schomer We’re very close in height. Where I live in a area that’s 81. Most of the guys are good people and I’ve dealt with them at where I used to work. Yes I had guys bigger than me think the same as you as easy target. My friends were right there saying we got your back. Agreed there’s always some asshole to try and ruin your fun. H & R
storytime.... im 46. im an old metal head. and 25 years or so ago we lived in a tiny "town" in oklahoma. well its not really a town. theres a biker bar and a gas station, literally thats it in this "town" ond we lived a few hundred feet from the bar, and we were always intrigued by the bar. well one day, half drunk alreadydecided it was time to go to the bar. now needless to say me and my buddies were a bit terrified. however after bellying up to the bar and pretending like we belonged, people just went about their business. we eventually ended up making some really good aquantences that night, and actually started to frequent the bar quite a bit actually. now there isnt any m.c.s there however there was alot of bikers and what i suspect are actuall m.c.s but just not official clubs. or patch clubs. they were certainly some gangster type bikers. but they were ALL really good guys and we never had any issues. the only time we ever saw anything was when some guy came up there looking to get fucked up, and they abliged him. he had apparently been fooling with one of the guys old ladys, and then running his mouth about it, then went up to the bar to run his mount. well about 6 guys went out back and the 7th guy shut and locked the door. about 10 minutes later they all walked back in, but the trouble maker never seemed to make it back in. and i believe a round was bought shortly after. but even tho the bar was intimidating, and had a rough reputation, but after going in, i realized it was all hype, prolly started by the patrons. lol. it was a great time in my past. i often think back on those days. i miss em. but ill never relive em.
Been to Genos , Cool bathroom with the Handlebar urinal 😂. I normally don’t drink because I concealed Carry but i may accidentally trip over at shot of Skrewball peanut butter whiskey every now and again.
I Never had any problems with anyone in a biker bar. Mostly it was social to me but i was known as the guy that was on the constant lookout for bike parts or bikes for sale and i would look for parts for people also and whenever you are known for good skills with bikes, you get accepted very easy, especially when you are the guy that can fill your pockets with cash. Cash comes in real handy in a bar ya know?....lol.
The best party I ever went to was at The Bashful Bandit in Tucson, AZ in '84. I walked into the bar dressed in business casual , clean cut and no beard. Once these folks realized I wasn't a NARC they relaxed. BTW - These guys and their ladies treated me like royalty. We closed the place!!!!
genos has a great taco tuesday, i live just west a few miles of Geno's so its no wonder why I thought I seen you around n recognise your house, next time i see you I will say hello
Hello Itchy. Love your videos. Like I said before you are a for sure a household video especially on Sunday. I and wife enjoy. Question. My I send you something and put it on your wall in the man cave? License plate. My sons name " Jax" and my late nephews foot ball number 63. Love if it could go up by your exhaust by the ceiling. My son would really get a kick seeing it every time we watch your videos. Keep up the good work.
I'm still not giving up on my dream which is to one-day ride hwy 61 starting from canada all the way down to New Orleans and then hop on route 66 if it's still there. However, due to dementia joe's open borders, it might be good to be vigilant.
Bars? Biker Bars? Rather we have some decent pubs & Grills close by with impressive food & fair prices too. Surprisingly good burgers & fried fish. Sure they have beer., but when I'm Riding I stick to Heineken Zero, but that's just me.
I like the dive bars/biker bars! The trick is to walk in and mind ya business! And dont ask for a piña colada with an umbrella! Haha! Jk! Stay macho and smart.
dont you love the guys with a 10 year old bike with less than 500 miles on it, you usually see it headed to sturgis strapped to a trailer. my last bike, i put over 500 miles on it the very first day, just riding it home from the dealer.
use to sell crank at "the play pen" in little rock, AR in the 1970's, it was a bar/strip club my ole lady danced there too!! i do NOT like going to bars because i do NOT like drunks, they mostly want to talk tough or just talk, and talk saying the same thing repeatedly. i DO NOT drink, smoke or do drugs since 1980! i also do NOT carry a pistol any any more, one "felon in possession" charge is enough! '
I haven’t had my fatboy out this year, but if I wanted I could go to the old stone jail as it’s about 3/4 mile from me. They definitely are not the same as they used to be.
Hi mark. Laurie hear. ,, genos old lady,, love your review of the GENOS 2.0. We had a great run geno and I did for 21 years and you were one of our best customers,,, but life goes on after genos passed 4 years ago,,, my daughter Tammy and her husband Kurt our doing a fantastic job of keeping up the GENOS a tradition of a peaceful biker bar,,, not to say we did have a few fight s in the old day, lolol but you will have that,,, it’s got great food and wonderful clean everything unlike some of the bars in Lafayette we are still the BEST!!!!! again old pal that’s for your review ,,, stop I. And see Tammy and her husband ,,,, laurie stoyko!!!!!!! were still rocken. OLD SCHOOL BABY. Ride fast or stay home
First thing I will tell you about a biker bar..they will always send a woman to your table ..it's a setup..get your shit together and figure out how to get out with head high and respect
Hey Donald O this is Jeff Yoder the ol'broke down scooter tramp, exbiker, Vietnam 🇻🇳 Era veteran and I'm not sure what your definition of an old 🧓 geezer is but I'm 72years old and my in the wind days are pretty much over but I rode as an independent when I lived in Hollister California which is in the center of what was and still is, as far as I know, what is known as the Angels triangle which goes from both sides of the SanFrancisco bay area down to the Salinas, Monterey bay area of Northern California and and in general I agree 👍 💯 percent with your comments about being around patch holders but because of the mix of independents and patch holders in the "Triangle if you were lucky 🍀 you learned "bar etiquette" from another independent who had been able to be around for a while anyway there had somehow been established colors accepted or not accepted groups of bars and it didn't take much to figure out what "bar etiquette" was in most any bar in the"Triangle" and I for one 1⃣ never had any real problems in any bar I ever went into and surprisingly (a first , to me any way) independents who showed the proper respect , as often as not got back up from a patch holder in a colors allowed bar especially if a prospect was getting out of line and I rode as an independent all over California for at least half of my 35 years of riding so just plain lucky 🍀 or not I never really had any problems with patch holders and I think what I learned about showing respect in colors allowed bars in the Angels triangle obviously helped me even when I moved to Phoenix AZ right up to the point where I basically retired from riding for a variety of reasons

storytime.... im 46. im an old metal head. and 25 years or so ago we lived in a tiny "town" in oklahoma. well its not really a town. theres a biker bar and a gas station, literally thats it in this "town" ond we lived a few hundred feet from the bar, and we were always intrigued by the bar. well one day, half drunk alreadydecided it was time to go to the bar. now needless to say me and my buddies were a bit terrified. however after bellying up to the bar and pretending like we belonged, people just went about their business. we eventually ended up making some really good aquantences that night, and actually started to frequent the bar quite a bit actually. now there isnt any m.c.s there however there was alot of bikers and what i suspect are actuall m.c.s but just not official clubs. or patch clubs. they were certainly some gangster type bikers. but they were ALL really good guys and we never had any issues. the only time we ever saw anything was when some guy came up there looking to get fucked up, and they abliged him. he had apparently been fooling with one of the guys old ladys, and then running his mouth about it, then went up to the bar to run his mount. well about 6 guys went out back and the 7th guy shut and locked the door. about 10 minutes later they all walked back in, but the trouble maker never seemed to make it back in. and i believe a round was bought shortly after. but even tho the bar was intimidating, and had a rough reputation, but after going in, i realized it was all hype, prolly started by the patrons. lol. it was a great time in my past. i often think back on those days. i miss em. but ill never relive em.
We ride along the lake erie . A couple of places have been frequented 🇨🇦
Nice video love watching you
Glad you enjoyed
I live in Marion Ohio and I Ride Year round, I actually bought a Bike Specifically for the Colder Month's..
Oh man it sounds good 👍🏻
Been to Genos , Cool bathroom with the Handlebar urinal 😂. I normally don’t drink because I concealed Carry but i may accidentally trip over at shot of Skrewball peanut butter whiskey every now and again.
Took my bike out yesterday it was 70 and beautiful
Love that bar
I Never had any problems with anyone in a biker bar. Mostly it was social to me but i was known as the guy that was on the constant lookout for bike parts or bikes for sale and i would look for parts for people also and whenever you are known for good skills with bikes, you get accepted very easy, especially when you are the guy that can fill your pockets with cash. Cash comes in real handy in a bar ya know?....lol.
great vid
I googled genos bar ,that is a cool bar ,next time I'm in medina I'll stop in there and have lunch menu looks killer.
As with any situation, common sense goes a long way.
My brother went to see Jimi Hendrix at Western Reserve College.
Saw Mott The Hoople during '70's....They had shortened their name to just "Mott" when I saw them...."All The Young Dudes" are now old geezers ...LOL!
they sure are! LOL!!
I'd appreciate that!
That is awesome! You can message me on FB.
Next week is fall back with the time.
I have never had a problem in bicker bars but cowboy bars can be dangerous
I'm still not giving up on my dream which is to one-day ride hwy 61 starting from canada all the way down to New Orleans and then hop on route 66 if it's still there. However, due to dementia joe's open borders, it might be good to be vigilant.
But 61 only goes from Wyoming, MN to New Orleans, LA.
Scared little boy
Bars? Biker Bars? Rather we have some decent pubs & Grills close by with impressive food & fair prices too. Surprisingly good burgers & fried fish. Sure they have beer., but when I'm Riding I stick to Heineken Zero, but that's just me.
The local biker bar here is tops for a good meal and a cold beer.
We’ve had some 70 & 80 degree days here in Ga the last few weeks, but my doctor isn’t releasing me from my bladder surgery for a few more weeks.
Heal up soon Darren!
If you can ,,sit at the end of the Bar,wher u see the door and people coming in,
I would imagine it's like any other bar. Don't start shit and there won't be any shit. And, sit on the opposite side from the drunks.
I'm most comfortable around bikers
What kind of rug have you got your bike parked on. I know that helps save your battery, right?
It's just a rubber backed industrial entry rug mat that was being tossed out. I repurposed it.
most of these people are nice people. If you see a long line of motorcycles It's probably a ride to raise money for some charity.
We don't use salt on our roads, they put down Magnesium Chloride on the streets here in the Denver, Colorado area.
Its calcium chloride
I like the dive bars/biker bars! The trick is to walk in and mind ya business! And dont ask for a piña colada with an umbrella! Haha! Jk! Stay macho and smart.
So true!
Can you get one without umbrella, or pineapple juice, no coconut? Is that ok?
@@billh.1940 I dont see why not! Throw a shot of Vodka and bobs your uncle!
I was born in Alliance, OH.
Hello Itchy and Vee👍
Hello there Walt!
dont you love the guys with a 10 year old bike with less than 500 miles on it, you usually see it headed to sturgis strapped to a trailer. my last bike, i put over 500 miles on it the very first day, just riding it home from the dealer.
use to sell crank at "the play pen" in little rock, AR in the 1970's, it was a bar/strip club
my ole lady danced there too!!
i do NOT like going to bars because i do NOT like drunks, they mostly want to talk tough or just talk, and talk saying the same thing repeatedly. i DO NOT drink, smoke or do drugs since 1980!
i also do NOT carry a pistol any any more, one "felon in possession" charge is enough!
'
I haven’t had my fatboy out this year, but if I wanted I could go to the old stone jail as it’s about 3/4 mile from me. They definitely are not the same as they used to be.
Destination Daytona
HI TO BOTH OF YOU
Hi Gayle!
The seedier the better...
💯💯💯👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🎯🎯🎯
I'm 67 and no longer drink. I have no business in a biker bar. Not my scene.
Just ride your motorcycle don't worry about the labels. Who gives a shit.

First thing I will tell you about a biker bar..they will always send a woman to your table ..it's a setup..get your shit together and figure out how to get out with head high and respect
Just be decent and respectful… it’s not that hard.
He's probably out in a tee shirt cause he can't afford the leather, but you gotta dress for the slide not the ride , road rash is M/F er
IF YOU NOT A THREAT -STOP WORRYING ABOUT #BIKERS & #NORMAL #CIVILIZED #PEOPLE NEED TO #STOP_WATCHING_DEMOCRATIC #MEDIA_BIASED_NEWS #ABOUT_BIKERS ✌
