Hastings MFC July 2013 Fly-In (plus Colin Hammond's Memorial Flight)

What a fantastic turnout from club members and visiting pilots for the week. Some great planes are featured on the video: B-25, Zero, P-47s, B-17 Fortress, DC-3 Dakota, Vulcan, Futura jet, Boomerang, Spitfires, BF-109, the best collection of WW2 warbirds as well as classic, historic models. Unique on-board HD shots from the planes too.
This weekend commemorated one of the r/c modelling greats, Colin Hammond, who passed away in April. And what better way to celebrate such productive genius than to give Colin's best models a huge chunk of sky in the hands of some of Britain's best pilots.

Excellent video work. I am a WWII aviation buff and had never heard of "Fortress" until I found it in the bargain bin at the local store about two years (2014) ago. Oh my goodness. I am so surprised no one has ever seen it. It brings out points about WWII in Europe that I never heard. Like how the Pope placed restrictions on flight paths for the bombers which helped the Germans massacre the flight. The show you present here does the aviation community justice . Great show and great video work. Sorry it took so long to find it. So I don't miss any more, new subscriber here from Florida. Thanks and God Bless.
