Yes I absolutely did that. It's just 6 inch straight pipe through the wall. The flap outside was stuck because of dust, but I cleaned that as well.

But I would like to say this to those that ask how ONE MAN can do all that is featured in this video…

We have the same size and set up as far as before remodeling. But I want a wider deeper sink so I can wash my dog in it. Like a mud room.

Have you ever had to take the washer and dryer out to repair without damaging the countertop and cabinets??? I'm not sure where you put the water supply to shut the water off and disconnect the exhaust vent and then to reinstall everything when it's cleaned and repaired. This is what I'm wanting to do - the sink I don't have room for it, so I'm just looking to install the front loaders side by side under an existing marble countertop with wall cabinets against the ceiling... GREAT VIDEO...

I think you should’ve waterproofed the floor of the room with self leveling concert or polyethylene sheets before laying down the tiles since it’s a laundry room there is big chance water can leak easily and damage the house/basement. Other than that it looks absolutely phenomenal!
Yes that's a valid point to think about when doing laundry room floors.... It's true that the washing machine will cause some leak sooner or later. But how much should you invest to the water proofing materials and efforts, when there is anyway a door to the next room where the water can flow to. Then you have to build some kind of water proof curb under the door as well, and add membrane few inches up up to each wall. And if the water damage occurs you might have to pull the tiles up anyway and redo it.
In this case I "waterproofed" the joints between the tile and the baseboards so if there is a small leak the water won't go behind the walls. This is the lowest floor in the house and there is only a massive concrete slab under the tiles. If water stays there several weeks of course it will penetrate through the tiles and then I'm just going to redo the tiling.
I'm using a small water leak detector behind the washing machine and hopefully we can just dry the floor quickly if a leak happens. Thanks for your comment.
