I remember these times during the playoffs I couldn’t wait to make it school to talk about the game with my friends the next morning. I was in middle school.
That Bulls introduction is iconic. Really got you hype when those lights went out and that music came on. Hadn't experienced anything like that in the N.B.A. since Jordan and then Bulls.
Mj was just so honest about his feeling when it comes to basketball.. doesn't fear admitting he failed or was not that good as expected..there is humbleness..♥ young players should learn form him..instead of whining..get yourself back in the gym!!!♥ thanks for the post!!! nice videos..
I love Phil Jackson's philosophy going into this game. He basically told MJ to play defense and let the other players get involved. Jordan played terrific denying defense and the other players stepped up and Chicago found itself up early with Jordan having to do nothing but play defense and get the ball to his teammates. Smart basketball.
The 80's and 90's, you can't exclude the 90's. The 1998 games were some of the most watched NBA games of all time, the 1998 NBA Finals is still the #1 most watched NBA Finals of all time for obvious reasons. Without a doubt BB during the 80's and 90's were the most dominant/popular sport of those two eras.
I am so happy I was alive to witness the rise of Michael Jordan and the Bulls.. It gave me goosebumps during their introduction and the crowd was just so hype
And man, I think I was too young and mesmerized by Jordan to notice how incredibly sick Dennis Rodman was on the boards.. His hands just always seemed to rise up higher than anyone elses
I always comped Penny as closer to Pippen. LBJ has a power forward build. Frankly I'd doubt LeBron could take the physical beating MJ and Penny took and still be productive
Some consider the 1991-1992 Bulls (the second title team that won 67 games) to be the best Bulls team in the MJ era, and not this 72-10 team nor next years 69-13 team
Orlando was hyped up all season.....as a laker fan, I knew chicago would win this series big.....Orlando had no bench, they mailed it in after game 2...I always though Dennis Rodman set the whole tone and he should have won finals mvp against Seattle..
Ahmad and MJ rode to the games together? Seriously, Ahmad was everyone's nigga...players loved that dude. And then, on the other side, there's Jim Gray - perhaps the most unlikeable figure in sports. ever.
Andrew Horne That’s because when he signed with the Magic, he said he was happy to be in Orlando with the best fans in the world. That was a real slap in the face to Chicago fans who had embraced him.
Once Bulls got Rodman it was over, had they had a decent power foward in 95 playoffs they wouldve beat Orlando and Houston but by the time Jordan returned it was too late to make a trade.
I don't know. To me, it just seems like that injury in Game 1 was awfully convenient for Horace considering the circumstances. Horace, more than anybody, knew that MJ and Pippen were going to come back with axes to grind in 96 after losing the year before. On top of that, having to face Dennis Rodman in the post probably gave him PTSD flashbacks of the Bad Boy Pistons. Somehow, I don't think he was prepared to deal with all of that so he used that "injury" in Game 1 as an excuse to bow out early in the series leaving Shaq all by himself in the post.
Ive heard people say that had grant not gotten injured in game 1 Orlando woulda won this series since it was grant who killed them in '95 but......I dint think so
You didn't say that when they beat the Bulls the previous year, so stop it with the excuses. Aside from Jordan, that Orlando team was actually better than the Bulls. That is why when Jordan didn't play well, the Bulls lost.
I remember these times during the playoffs I couldn’t wait to make it school to talk about the game with my friends the next morning. I was in middle school.
Back then, Chicago had a very strong team. I miss those days.
That Bulls introduction is iconic. Really got you hype when those lights went out and that music came on. Hadn't experienced anything like that in the N.B.A. since Jordan and then Bulls.
Chills
The crowd was rockin every time Chicago scored or made a defensive stand. You can tell they wanted revenge/retribution on Orlando
Man the Bulls could do it all. Defend, rebound, run breaks and then if all else fails give it to mike.
Lol factsss!!
Mj was just so honest about his feeling when it comes to basketball.. doesn't fear admitting he failed or was not that good as expected..there is humbleness..♥ young players should learn form him..instead of whining..get yourself back in the gym!!!♥

I SO REMEMBER THIS...GREATNESS!!!

This is one time when I honestly think the NBA was bigger than the NFL.
It was bigger than the NFL
Totally agree never again
I am so happy I was alive to witness the rise of Michael Jordan and the Bulls.. It gave me goosebumps during their introduction and the crowd was just so hype
Me 3❤
And man, I think I was too young and mesmerized by Jordan to notice how incredibly sick Dennis Rodman was on the boards.. His hands just always seemed to rise up higher than anyone elses
This was one of the best games ever.thankyou for posting this video.
I forgot how effective Longley was !
This game between the Chicago Bulls and the Orlando Magic first aired on Sunday, May 19th, 1996.
Shaq played this game like he had already signed with L.A.
In his head he was already in the beach in LA
Tbh the whole team was flat here except Penny.
Shaq could have been another Wilt. Shaq was lazy at times
😂😂😂😂😂 after sweep sign to LA😂😂😂 He was Ashame walk away without shaking hands to bulls teams. It means he is not sportsmanship😂
The best year basketball. Penny hardaway vs the Chicago Bulls.
10-0. "Great O`Neal" cant stop Longley. Luc Longley, Carl!
Greatest Team Ever no question. Chicago Bulls
The 90s Bulls had the greatest introductions of all time. Prove me wrong
Errbody except fa Oakland Warriors did cuz dey was doin Dat wit Run TMC
Still do
They actually started that in the late 1970s. Ray Clay was great as the announcer
You are right 😂
Who cares
Bill Walton hated the Bulls dynasty.
Bill hated the fact that MJ embarrassed him when he was with the Celtics
Damn I miss this NBC theme song
Haha I know right. Why did NBC stop doing nba games in the first place
Bro I was thinkin' same thing lol
@@rmontavious32 abc and espn came in whith the big money and outbidded nbc
Revenge was so sweet 😉😉
Mr. michael jordan is just a monster, comparisons are useless
Penny was so ahead of his time. Fantastic player to watch
Luc Longley > Shaq. Yeah. I said it.
Gr8 JOKE!!!
Best intro ever and yes the Bulls did face Competition….
Penny did it all. He was similar to Lebron. I think he had better post moves than Lebron.
Jordan was right when he said , "We don't mess around. You come in, you're 10 points down"
Orlando was hyped up all season.....as a laker fan, I knew chicago would win this series big.....Orlando had no bench, they mailed it in after game 2...I always though Dennis Rodman set the whole tone and he should have won finals mvp against Seattle..
His issues with Frank Brickowski overshadowed his contributions
It showed in the team intros. The only guy that seemed hyped was Penny. All the Bulls coming out ready.
THE SERIES WAS OVER AT THE END OF THIS PART 1 VIDEO... #FACTS
that old school bulls starting 5 intro lol . So legendary
Yeah, and it peaked in 1998. I miss the old NBA.
One of the BEST series of all time.
1980
NBA game
Those 90s warm-ups was too saucy!!
intro alone was worth a watch.
the minute it was 6-0 the game wasn’t even close and what was coming soon after the 38 point beat down the bulls gave the magic in game 1
I remember this day I was a magic fan at the time and I was shitting my pants XD
Ahmad and MJ rode to the games together? Seriously, Ahmad was everyone's nigga...players loved that dude.
And then, on the other side, there's Jim Gray - perhaps the most unlikeable figure in sports. ever.
Right after the bulls intro Brian Hill had to call a timeout
Nick grew up n Chicago so u know he was pumped geesing on MJ
You damn right it was.
Ngl Pippen was ballin
This series was an ass whippin
Just like the rockets did to the magic.
Both Shaq and penny were lost the entire series.
-- If you knew how many lawns I had to know to actually be there for this one. GRANT! And my school jersey was 54 :(
This time the bulls weren't playing, they really mean business against the magic.
Does anybody know the name of the music or instrumental being played at the 12:20- 12:31 mark of this video?
man they came out and just creamed them, send a message was the goal here and boy did they, my goodness. the GOAT, always will be
Rodman was Tha whole difference between 95 n 96
Even in the Magic dress, that "buuu"to Grant...
1st rebound..Rodman :P
I want to watch Game 3...
Did he say four hundred and forty third consecutive sell outs ,dam
next part 3, 4, 5, 6 ???
Penny Hardaway at his best i really like that but after him there was no one who coud make something
and with bad knees already... amazing player and to me more fun to watch than Jordan
Thanks for posting this, but how do you leave out the full intro of The NBA on NBC?
we just straight up whoped they ass in 4 straight.who trying to say penny is better than jordan.r u kiddin me
JEROME RANSOM series would of gone to 6 if horace didnt get injured
Penny's knees were already bad, not to mention Magic had a terrible coach. Exchange coaches and Bulls would've lost this
Mario707 yea ur absolutely correct brian hill was a boo boo coach they just had lot of talent
Spacejams with the 45 on the back!
i kinda wished they left the score on the screen instead of taking it away but this was before shaq moved to the lakers
Thank you Bill Walton
How can the crowd boo Horace Grant when he was former Bull?
Andrew Horne
That’s because when he signed with the Magic, he said he was happy to be in Orlando with the best fans in the world. That was a real slap in the face to Chicago fans who had embraced him.
Once Bulls got Rodman it was over, had they had a decent power foward in 95 playoffs they wouldve beat Orlando and Houston but by the time Jordan returned it was too late to make a trade.
That is because they don't know enough.
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUC!
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUC
Mike was mad
Longley executed the hook shot the Kareem way, not the running hook or jump hook everyone does.
glory days!
Who is watching this in 2024
what is the intro?? 1:50
Pink Flody - The Dark Side of the Moon - On the Run
Dennis Rodman can school Horace Grant any day
Wish i could see Rodman punk today's "tough guys"Draymond Green, Dillon Brooks & make Luka really cry to the refs.
Actually Horace Grant injured himself in the first game, otherwise it would be hard to say who can win that series
I don't know. To me, it just seems like that injury in Game 1 was awfully convenient for Horace considering the circumstances. Horace, more than anybody, knew that MJ and Pippen were going to come back with axes to grind in 96 after losing the year before. Anybody can tell me why the Chicago Fans dont like Luc Longley? You can hear the Booh!! in many games.
***** they're not booing him, they're saying LUUUUUUUUUCCC!!
marsrox2 Hahaha!!
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCC !!!
Luuuucccc!!!!
Ive heard people say that had grant not gotten injured in game 1 Orlando woulda won this series since it was grant who killed them in '95 but......I dint think so
Luuuuccc!!!
Stephen a?
I talked so much smack before this series , if the bulls would have blown it no way I would showed up to 7th grade in the fall !!
1980s nba was bigger
Most dominant team and arguably one of the greatest teams ever but only Jordan was from a blue blood basketball school. 😂
definitively...
yes better than lebron james or kobe bryant for example...
Najveća košarkaška momčad svih vremena!
love shaq.... nuf said
this highly anticipated series turned into a dud
Your mom said that about your future.
chicago bulls vs penny hardaway and shaquille o`neal- Literally
You didn't say that when they beat the Bulls the previous year, so stop it with the excuses.
Aside from Jordan, that Orlando team was actually better than the Bulls. That is why when Jordan didn't play well, the Bulls lost.
Greg Gumble & Jim Gray... so BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING!
