thanks, mate! not sure how many more uploads I can do in the near future but yes, it feels good to have something new for the people to see : ) Thanks for the comment, I was showing off some of your videos last night to friends during the commercial breaks during the football game. ;)
Amazing compilation, so much heavy action! Glad you were able to get out and capture this footage before the new year, hope the studying/school is going well!
I only wish our airport would let me get that close to the runway, instead they run you off no matter where you are. A big thank you for the people like you who can post these videos.
I live about 40 mi from KMCI (Kansas City International) which is really a turd for large aircraft. They have nothing like you show in your videos but it would still be nice to able to set and watch or record planes landing or taking off. The airport security runs you off even when your not on airport property. You have some very good quality videos, thank you for posting them.
66lwmorgan Thanks for the feedback. I am most lucky and thankful to live here in Chicago.... Glad I can share the action here with you. Hopefully things will change at some point and MCI will welcome planespotters more. Thanks for watching. :)
This is what I call a HUGE WELCOME BACK! Seriously ever single video was seriously OUTTA THIS WORLD GOOD. I loved it all so much and really do have to say that you did a TRULY AWESOME EXCELLENT JOB I JUST LOVE EACH SHOT SO MUCH. I am sooooo PUMPED to have you back!
#epicthanks mate! Haha! thanks for the comment as always. The days will hopefully come when I'll be back to weekly uploads but this will have to do for now. Keep making those fabulous videos yourself, i'll be watchin'
Glad to see you back, Jay! As usual this vid is at the highest level of quality, something that your subscribers have long come to expect with your fantastic job at filming jets at O'Hare!
How smart is that Royal Jordanian 787 and liked seeing the Cayman Airways 737 too, quite colourful, and of course, seeing Aer Lingus A330 was great too. Overall another amazing mix of aircraft and airlines.
Jay's O'Hare Aviation & HD Plane Spotting That is amazing how you caught the RJA 787! Usually I can only spot the RJA A330-223 and the A340-200, which of course is no more. Keep it up!
Very fantastic to see you back on TH-cam! Glad to hear you are working hard and also having the time to make us this spectacular video! Lovely catches as usual Jay, you never disappoint! I especially loved the RJ B787! Magnificent work Jay, Happy New Year! Liked a lot :)
Thanks for watching! I've missed your comments..... haven't done a lot of spotting lately. been very busy studying and such. I hope to be back in the game sometime uploading regularly eventually.
Welcome back Jay!!!! So great to see something from you again. Both ATC and Dispatching have great opportunities. It's just a matter of your personal choice. But getting a controller job, chances are you will not get into a tower within the first years. There are so many types of controllers as you should know, and most of them are in a dark office with radar screens and not a tower. Being a dispatcher is a very important position for any airline. I know quite a few and they love their job. Best of luck with the path you take!!!! If you ever fly into New York, let me know.
As in most jobs in aviation you start at the bottom and work your way to the top. :) I'm perfectly happy doing any job as long as I can be around airplanes/aviation and/or the people who love them like I do.
Your hand held filming when you're "shaking off the rust" is about a million times better than mine even after hours of practice :P It's a shame about the Delta Cargo spot (I believe it's called?), but this is stunning footage as always, and that shot of the RJ 787 is mind-blowing. Huge like from me as usual!
it is indeed Delta Cargo but yes, no one is allowed there any more. Anyway, I think 2015 will hold many great spotting adventures for lots of planespotters around the world (including me hopefully). Many THNX, Dudespotter!! here's to you and yours a very happy NEW YEAR!!!
Thanx, CA! I won't be uploading regularly yet but this is something to watch for the meantime. The day will come (hopefully) when I will devote much more time to planespotting... until then. :) thanks for watching!
Thanks! There aren't as many potting locations here at O'Hare right now due to the loss of the Delta Cargo location and a lot of construction on the east side but I did what I could.
Hope your studies go well, I'm sure you will excel in whatever avenue you take. Best regards and happy new year. Certainly miss your plane spotting videos.
Thanks for watching as you always do :) yes,.... i've missed making videos myself but I gotta think of my future first and I'm sure you understand. Making videos like these takes a lot of time and effort since I don't live near the airport and I need my time for others things these days. When the time is right, I will be back in full force.
I really love your videos! I can sit down, relax and watch your videos on the TV. Nice Quality, I also love that you make your videos long, so I don´t have to switch to the next video every 4-5 minutes^^ Liked a lot!
Thanks! I try to make both long and short videos since I've heard both formats are liked. I myself prefer the longer ones. I hear that a lot of folks watch my videos on some sort of TV hookup. :) Very pleased! I love quality.
Jay, it looks like you got a great start for the New Year with this very impressive & great video. I enjoy each landing & takeoff in it. Thanks bro, and keep up the excellent video work. Stan!
Thanks, Stan! Very busy these days but i hope to have a few more videos before the en of the month.... we'll see. The American 787 may do some service runs between ORD and DFW. If that happens i'll try to get at least something of it.
There are lots, yes. But not as much as at LAX. We get a good variety of Airbus and Boeing but no A380s yet for a lot of different reasons. thnx 4 watching!
WOW!!!! The King of ORD is back. Great half hour of action at the bustling mega airport of CHI-Town. Pure excellence, Happy New Year Jay! Good luck with your future endeavors bud.
happy new year to you too, bro! Thanks for the well-wishes. Someday I hope to be back in full force but this'll have to do for now. I'll try to post a few more vids every now and then but it will still be a while until I can do anything frequent...
Your back!!!!! Your video didn't appear in my feed..... great camera, with the best camera work I've seen :) Bets of luck with becoming an ATC controller or airline dispatcher. Liked a ton!
Thanks, mate! yes, i'm back ... every once in a while. Studying to become one of those takes a lot of time so I haven't had much tome for the airport. In future though I do plan to make lots more videos....
Nice to see a new video from you, incredibly smooth filming work, easy to watch. To be honest, I didn't watch the whole video, but I'll continue if I'm bored or something else.
lol! you know i don't really care THAT much if you watch the WHOLE thing.... but you're missin' out if you don't ;) ...and yes, being bored is often a requirement when watching my vids :) happy new year, my friend! and thanks for all the views and comments :D
Nice video Jay! Enjoy your videos a lot, passes the time with joy! Coming back down to Chicago this weekend, I know not the warm and sunny LAX but to the cold ORD haha, but can't wait to see some birds we don't get up in MSP!
WOW!!!!!! Hey Jay this is most EXCELLENT!!!!!! Almost 38:00 minutes of incredible aviation footage. I hope you had a great Christmas :) I wish you the BEST in 2015 :) I'm PROUD to feature your channel :) Right into my AVIATION playlist :) You are AWESOME!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!
sorry I'm getting back so long after, but we were on the tenth floor and it was great. I would love to go back. Over here in Cleveland heavies come in like twice a year from diversions and of course I'm never there to catch them. Hana
Awesome video as always, and congratulations on completing college!! I am sure you will be successful and happy in whatever path you choose to follow. Best wishes, and thank you for all the great videos!!

You're Back!!! Was missin' you my friend! I definitely feel you. I am in college as well, going to finish my BA this semester. Planning on applying to masters. Definitely push for ATC. More action there. I am planning on getting the inaugural flight of a Lufthansa flight that is coming to TPA this year in the Autumn. Just hope the schedule works out. Happy New Year! Keep working hard and upload when you can!
Thanks 4 watchin'! not really back completely but this'll do for now... I do plan to make many more vids in future at some point. COOL! will be looking forward to the DLH flight. happy new year, will do ;)
It’s been a few months since I have used my camera at Chicago O’Hare International Airport let alone doing any planespotting here…. I am sure many of you have heard but I was away for a long time in order to finish up my college degree and now I am very busy studying to either go into air traffic control or airline dispatch. As I study, I find that I don’t really have much time for plane spotting and making aviation videos but I do still try to make the rounds here on TH-cam commenting and hitting that “like” button for you guys as I can. Even so, I love watching airplanes so much that I knew I had to get back out there at least once more before the year ends to catch a few more of my airplane friends. I hope you will enjoy this video as I knock of the rust. Filming without a tripod (as I do) is not easy for sure and requires practice, practice, practice.
Chris Panos Nice video. And that's neat you would like to go into air traffic control or airline dispatch. I know they will hire you. Your passion for the planes tells them that you will try your best and take your job seriously. My mothers cousin Diane is a flight attendant for United she has been a flight attendant for years. I think its united:)
I'm going to a local community college and I'd like to transfer to Western Michigan (the best aviation school in the state and one of the best in the country) for a career in aviation. I would love to work at a major airport someday. Good luck with your pursuit for success and welcome back! :)
And Jay, I am sure you already know that ATC is one of THE most stressful jobs out there. I heard that the FAA requires frequent breaks for controllers to stay calm/stress-free
I don't really see why it's so rare either but ORD does have a lack of 764 routes. Most of them are smaller main-line or regional or very large, key routes instead of medium capacity long-haul.
Fantastic video Jay! Glad to see you're back! Superb filming, it is incredibly smooth! Do you have any idea why EK Cargo flew that 777F from SYD to ORD?
not sure, mate. I've seen the same flight pop-up before several months ago. Very glad I could catch it this time around. UAE Cargo flies here often but almost always late at night. Thanks 4 watching and commenting!
AmtrakSpotterHD This is the best place for video for now.... it's over at the WallyPark Chicago on the east side. Used to be called USG. Look for it on Google Maps. Anywhere at the end of Scott St. off of Lawrence Ave is allowed.
Thanks 4 w a t ch i n g. My current deal is a Sony Hx200v. it's pretty worn and beat up now after having it for a few years but it gets the job done. Sometime I may upgrade.
TheVladimirHD My friend! It has been very long since I have heard from you. Thanks 4 watching. I am taking a break for a little while from videos to focus on study. I hope to soon be back. Take-offs were off of 28R and were filmed at the old Aviation World parking lot on the west side of ORD.
O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD ok thanks alot, just talking to runsame, i got some vids of aircraft on my channel and im hopefully going to get more up soon
I wish you luck for your career in aviation. It is truly a unique one. We have all missed the best aviation videographer in the Chicago area! I heard you caught that charter ANZ All Blacks 77W. Are you going to upload that video?
Thanks! I'm not really back for good just yet... still got some things to do before I can devote a lot of time to spotting again. This will do for now I hope although there is a possibility i'll do some spotting in January. As for the All Blacks? Much as I do LOVE that airplane I was not able to make it out for that. Try FSXAviation1. I think he has a good vid of it.
O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD on Flightradar24 In Washington State Operating as LAN225 is LAN's. Second 787-9 and 14th 787 CC-BGB. soon it will be off to Santiago as well as Auckland and Sydney once it is fully certified.
Hello! Very nice video, I'm a young spotter that also uses O'Hare. My main question is, what camera do you use? If there is more than one, can you name all the cameras you used for plane spotting please? Second, where do you plane spot? I tried going to Lawrence & Mannheim and it didn't work so well, but where do you plane spot for these planes? Thank you, awesome video.
Selim Eylül Hello there! Thanks 4 watching my videos. I use a Sony Hx200v and I highly recommend it and its newest version the HX400V. I spot just off of Lawrence Ave there on Scott st. It's next to Wally Park. There is also a location on the other side of ORD where the old Aviation World used to be. Look up both places on Google Maps.
It cool that you use the Sony Cybershot hx200v... I was thinking on getting the extremely similar Nikon Coolpix L830. I'll take pictures only, and so do you have any advice? Should I go for it?
Selim Eylül If you have the money and pictures/filming is a hobby, i say go for it. If you plan to make it a career of some sort in future I'd say most certainly go for it. :)
Brilliant video again! Lots of beautiful heavies :) Glad you're back uploading
thanks, mate! not sure how many more uploads I can do in the near future but yes, it feels good to have something new for the people to see : ) Thanks for the comment, I was showing off some of your videos last night to friends during the commercial breaks during the football game. ;)
Fantastic video, well done!A big LIKE from Germany!
Thanx 4 watching, inselvideo! Greetings from snowy Chicago.
Amazing compilation, so much heavy action! Glad you were able to get out and capture this footage before the new year, hope the studying/school is going well!
HD-THNX!! doing well, lots to do.
I only wish our airport would let me get that close to the runway, instead they run you off no matter where you are. A big thank you for the people like you who can post these videos.

T h a n k s, jeffman61! Someday i hope to be doing this a lot instead of every once in a while so hopefully the best videos are yet to come.
How smart is that Royal Jordanian 787 and liked seeing the Cayman Airways 737 too, quite colourful, and of course, seeing Aer Lingus A330 was great too. Overall another amazing mix of aircraft and airlines.
Thanks 4 watching, bananaman! I was very pleased to get both of these and the RJA 787 is fast becoming my new favorite at ORD.
Jay's O'Hare Aviation & HD Plane Spotting That is amazing how you caught the RJA 787! Usually I can only spot the RJA A330-223 and the A340-200, which of course is no more. Keep it up!

Great to see your vids again!
Great to see you commenting again, Mr. PDX :D
Wow just amazing Jay you never disappoint can't wait to come back to ORD next Year
Always lots of fun when you come up to visit! Planning on it we'll see.

Yet another awesome video Jay!!
Thanks, man! always happy to see you stop by :)
good luck Jay thanks for the upload
#thanksdude
Welcome Back, Jay! Love the UAL 764! I don't get why that's rare at UA's prime hub? And does Cayman Airways come in during early morning?
I don't really see why it's so rare either but ORD does have a lack of 764 routes. Most of them are smaller main-line or regional or very large, key routes instead of medium capacity long-haul.
Awesome video, Jay!
Gracias, amigo!
A very nice video with some nice planes :)
A very nice comment :) thnx!
Fantastic video man!! So awesome!!
THNX 4 watching, AVD!

Curacao Plane Spotting THNX 4 stopping by!
Sensational video
Thank you, my friend!
Jay!!! I need your help! What are some good ORD spotting locations to catch heavies? And what spot is this?
AmtrakSpotterHD This is the best place for video for now.... it's over at the WallyPark Chicago on the east side. Used to be called USG. Look for it on Google Maps. Anywhere at the end of Scott St. off of Lawrence Ave is allowed.
Very beautiful video Jay ; D
thanks much, KC!

Thanks 4 w a t ch i n g. My current deal is a Sony Hx200v. it's pretty worn and beat up now after having it for a few years but it gets the job done. Sometime I may upgrade.

I love your Videos
I love your Comment! :)
Amazing compilation, awesome overhead landings, nice livery collection ;)
Where is takeoff ?
TheVladimirHD My friend! It has been very long since I have heard from you. Thanks 4 watching. I am taking a break for a little while from videos to focus on study. I hope to soon be back. Take-offs were off of 28R and were filmed at the old Aviation World parking lot on the west side of ORD.
Nice video, runsame sent me over here and i liked your vids so i subbed
spOOnTheGamer thanks for stoppin' by, man! Subbed back.
O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD ok thanks alot, just talking to runsame, i got some vids of aircraft on my channel and im hopefully going to get more up soon
Welcome back! :)
thanks! not really back for good this time... just a small video for now. Hopefully yes, in time I'll be back making videos every week.
Nice job Jay!! Hopefully you become an air traffic controller or an airline dispatch!
Thanks! we'll see.
Do you still film freehand? This is amazing for freehand dude, good job:)
yep, Mr. AG!! free-hand completely. I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself but i do like perfection.
Fair play to you! Great to have you back on the YT scene mate:D
Very awesome video! :)
Thanks for the kind comment :)
O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD on Flightradar24 In Washington State Operating as LAN225 is LAN's. Second 787-9 and 14th 787 CC-BGB. soon it will be off to Santiago as well as Auckland and Sydney once it is fully certified.
Nice compilation of birds. How long are flights from E.cost to W.cost?
6-7 hrs?
flygwada971 about 5-6 hours, yes. Depends on headwinds or tailwinds though. Thanks 4 watching as always, my friend.
Selim Eylül
If you have the money and pictures/filming is a hobby, i say go for it. If you plan to make it a career of some sort in future I'd say most certainly go for it. :)
