(4K) Beautiful Evening Departures from Chicago O'Hare

- I absolutely love this angle of 28R departures! I will definitely be doing more videos from this angle.
Another sad fact is that the KLM 747 departure was the last I would ever see of that particular aircraft, as it was sent to the graveyard just a couple weeks later.

Lepp, your 'Departures/Takeoffs' videos are CONSISTENTLY 'Number 1' on my list!!
For me me the perfect 'Takeoff' shot is, (1)Off to the side of the runway, rather than 'Head-On, (2)The aircraft rotation occurs while coming toward you, rather than away from you, and (3) ideally, having his/her gear up, or mostly up before passing the camera line, perpendicular to the runway.
And AWESOMELY, your videos are filled with this shot; each takeoff with all the different aircraft, we get to see them, in what a call, a "Beauty Pass". Other 'Plane-Spotters' only post videos filmed from this perspective "few & far between". And you’ve got the perfect shots at all the different airports. I live in Atlanta, so I do know about the 'South Terminal-Parking Deck'

Wow that Lufthansa 748 is a beauty. I got to fly it on the Ord-Fra route last December.
amazing to see a 777 depart for EWR. Five years ago I flew an ERJ from OHare to EWR. How times have changed.
I so miss living in Chicago and flying into and out of ORD. Thanks!

I live on the east coast of England and I am able to watch
North Atlantic Overflights (early morning arrivals ) going into such places as Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Berlin and much further.
Quite a few originating from O'Hare. Infact some of these very aircraft, arriving
Saturday morning.

Pre-Covid plane spotting was the greatest, ain't I right? Even if not, I think we can all agree that we lost a lot of iconic jets to Covid like the KLM 747 at 6:40. I miss it too!😞

Back in 1990, I flew a Lufthansa 747 originating from O'Hare to Frankfurt, with a stop at JFK, where others, including my relatives from there, also boarded... Too many hours in the air, including the flight from Frankfurt to Köln, where my family's reunion took place... Köln was still domestic then... It might still be, as I'm not sure...

Anyone on here know what the wind was gusting to on this particular day? Seems like very turbulent take offs from most.
Winds were gusting to about 30 knots

Is the reason there are so few general aviation aircraft in these types of videos because there simply aren’t many that use this airport or do you edit them out?
GA aircraft are nonexistent at large airports like O’Hare. Large cities will have smaller executive airports which house practically all GA and corporate traffic
Where is this spot??? I visit ohare all the time but can get good sightings for takeoffs

Everytime i watch a plane video i always wonder it has a DELTA airlines in it
Interesting that UAL flies 737s to SF and SD, but flies 757s to Denver. Seems counterintuitive, unless they just opt for more daily flights to the left coast in smaller aircraft
I know they fly the 777 to SFO at least once per day, but I think it's only 73s to SAN.
How is it possible that the American 737 which was the second one in the video be 19 years old if it’s the 2013 one
It's not 2013. Delivered in 2000, making the aircraft 19 years old..

All of your videos are very nice. I'm just curious,how are you able to get access to "the hill"? the last couple times I tried filming from the Rosemont Train Station, I got greeted by Chicagos Finest...
