At first wasn't expecting nothing from this game but when i try it it was great and when you progress in the game it gets better and better and i am really glad that is nothing like Avengers
in all honesty i think cross overs can work a lot better in video games because unlike the MCU you can have the avengers or Spider-man or the X-men come in for a mission or 1 side quest and then they can just fuck off and do their own thing so unlike in the movies where Spider-man has to weave Iron man in to his story and character development and sacrifice time with Spider-man characters basically I'd like it if we can see different heroes interacting and working with each other but also not feel that just cause we have Thor in the picture all studently the guardians need to stop what they are doing and address Thor

The game does sound tons of fun
I have played it and beat it I can confirm it is tons of fun!
