If Spiderman writers kept on searching "How do we make him reliable to make sales" THIS, this how you make your super hero relatables : have them do human interractions and activities. Don't try to make a fight against a villain something equivalent to what readers do at their job, make super hero actually do something that they would be confronted to : Go look for their kids because they got lost, talk to friends because they have emotional struggle, invite each others for a dinner and a talk.
You can have your supes separate their work and their personal time so they hang out together and solve other stuff than world crisis.

I think thats what made Pete B and Miles so good, despite being a superhero invovle in larger than life story, they are still at the end human, and struggle with things us reader do, love, future, studies, growing up, or hell, even parents. Marvel comic can't make good spider-man run because they keep beating him down to for the sake of being "relatable", but they forget that most people life aren't infinite downward spirals, there's a low and high, main Pete life is just....high then low then lower to the point its not compelling or relatable anymore.

I'm not saying you're wrong for pointing it out, I'm just tired of comic books trying to balance extremely long histories, bombastic power scaling, then turn around and try to do a more grounded plot line like this. I'm a big believer in limitations in art breeding creativity. When you have a character that can do anything, you run into the same problem of "why didn't he just use his magic to-"

Yes, what a great thing to point out. It really frames Superman’s train of thought. He wasn’t thinking he was just reacting and acting as a parent, doing everything he could to find his son. It was Batman that helped Superman work through that, suggest it and make a plan to help alleviate Superman’s stress. That’s a great relationship they got despite being so different. Also love the whole batfamily relationship in the Gotham Knights. It's often sad to see him get killed off just as "further character development for Bruce and that brat Damian", like in injustice, but real stans know Nightwing is one of the GOATs. I love it how dick pointed out how Bruce won’t move the lollipops but as soon as Clark points out the simple logical fallacy in having them so close Bruce gets serious and realizes in that moment why people told him to move them, it’s a really subtle way of showing how Batman does get stuff wrong sometimes, even as simple as placing his gadgets in odd pockets, but he’s also not so stubborn that he’ll ignore a good logical argument against his way of something being done if it holds water, and he will adjust things accordingly
