@MrKillortryto I'll make a new one in Cataclysm. Renew beats out flash heal by far, so not many people bother much with emp. healing anymore. Leftover points... sure. Body and Soul is pretty essential for hard mode Halion. I think my GS is 6450, but GS is useless.

Only if the ticks are all used, it is very cost effective. However as long as there are more than one raid healer, it usually doesnt get to tick more than two or three times.
@kenichisan88 Cloth wearers usually have tailoring. If you have expendable income, you can go enchanting (the most common secondary) or alchemy. If you find yourself short of cash, then pick a gathering profession, like herbalism or mining (I have tailoring/mining on my mage).

I think she ment the bouncing part, as druids also have seeds that have the same effect, healing the target for 30% of the druids crit heal the next time said target takes damage.
Up to now i felt i'm a good holy priest, keeping the group up, and dodging shamans and druids, and even after watching this, i still feel pleased with myself. I have to admit, somehow i'm not a huge fan of the pure MP5 Stat and i tried to avoid the sp/int gem with the spirit/int gem. It sounds very reasonable, thinking about the shadowfiend and the Hymn. Also i mentioned one thing about myself while healing, i'm very ... unsteady in my way of healing. I can't tell if i use Renew or the Prayers~
I'm not sure what you mean by "Top heals"... Sure as a clothie you will go down fast, especially when attacked by a rogue. I only stack haste on my priest. Haste and only haste. Every other stat comes anyway, but haste, for me, is what matters the most. Plus, I do not use PW:S that much. Its not talented in anyway (uses a lot of mana and is inefficient anyway). The only reason I use it is the speed boost. I can run out of combat and "fight another day" (10 seconds later)
@monstavaii They've changed PoH so it affects the person and the group you're currently targeting. So if you wanna heal your group you target yourself or another person in your group. Simply, they buffed it. :)

I avoid skilling Desperate Prayer, because my opinion is, if i have the time, pushing this button, something else out of my spells can also save me. i disagree i roll a holy Priest and with the glyph for pwS have found it a great tool to use in my spell rotation ya there is some mana cost but with the rt gear chioces and that means spirit gear as opposed to +mp5 gear that is not an issue i find that unless i am intentionally O H'ing i dont have any issues with going /OOM and actually find it prevents me from having to use more FH's and GH's as well.

Actually you are ENTIRELY wrong. A good holy priest will use PW Shield. I don't think you have raided ToGC or have over 3k+ healing so I'm sure you wouldn't know. On my priest in ToGC when 2 healing it. PW: S makes a great damage reduction on tanks when they are getting impaled by Gormoks debuff. It is purely situational when playing as Holy but it is a great spell when you throw on a renew that ticks for 2.5k +

not only is this video very informative, but I think anyone specced HOLY should ditch the spellpower and go entirely for crit when possible. SP is nice, but if you are grouped with people lacking patience...the extra mana from stacking INT + the bonus crit modifier works well. but with fools, you OOM a lot trying to be the savior. in that case, rush in like a tank...steal their aggro and go SoR (spirit of redemption) then renew everyone first. flash who needs a quickie boost.

lvld as ret since it was faster imo, but eventualy played prot at lvl70 and when lvling from 70-80 after wotlk release went ret again, not prot again xD but imo lvling as prot is a pain since the mobs in outland and other zones were all just too far away from each other :(
prot pally.. all you do is hit avenger shield sacred sheild concecration or however you spell it then use hammer or righteness and then shield then repeat..
in feb when i get my laptop im going back 2 WoW and ima make a priest and gonna speak holy then ima transfer my lvl 80 hunter and give my priest 2kg then when my priest hits 40 ima duel spec holy and MAYBE desc depending which of the last 2 specs r better

no cuz with the prayer u heal 2 ppl and with earthshield only 1, but u can't rlly compare shamans with priests cuz they have totally different mechanics as healers ;)

I agree with the DP. The heals you use on others can be used on yourself, not to mention you have tons of instant heals anyway.

PROM isnt a smart heal , it will jump to a random person within range not lowest.

earth shield is pretty equal to prayer of mending isn't it? it just doesn't bounce, which in some respects is better

greater heal should be on num2 or3 cause with ur spec after casting 3 flash heals you get it only in 1.5 cast
