Main tank is on the boss throughout the whole fight until phase three where the tanks take turns in taunting him between them at 4 stacks of the debuff. The offtank is the abomination during phase 1 and 2 eating ooze and slowing down adds. Hope this helps

@omgitsme9001, the Gas bombs will spawn at his feet and will show graphically as orange "flasks". And the Abom on P3 will disappear. Both tanks will have to juggle Putricide because of a debuff that increases incoming damage on the tank. The slime puddles wil continue to spawn. What you can do is keep your raid clumped up around a spot and do the less movement possible while kiting Putricide.
excellent, much easier to follow than reading 3 pages of text. As always TankSpot's guide is the best I've seen. And for the record I think Aliena sounds cute as hell.
I see some people didn't like the female narration. I thought it was a great change from the other TankSpot videos I've seen. I hope they mix it up like this more often. As always, very informative, too. Thanks.
@narutorockz999 Yes, when there's no slime up our abom does attack Putricide. The DPS they do is pretty good, and when he's waiting on a slime to spawn to slow it down, he has to be close to their spawn point anyway. :)

I'm so happy this boss is hard. With the first 4 boss's being so unreasonably easy I had a bad feeling about the rest but I'm glad to know my feeling was unfounded, and ICC will be hard after all. Very nice guide this will be very helpful, as always.
@babichkata Most likely it is Shadowed Unit Frames. Highly customizable and very clean and light on memory. For the raid frames, Grid not Grid2. Very easy to set up and lightweight on memory also. As far as the boxes around her unit frames and action bars, your guess is as good as mine. I would think something like eePanels though.

We figured out most of his abilities through other sites and trial and error, but it was great to see an actual strat up so quickly, especially for those raiders who need to see a fight to understand it properly. It looks pretty simple once you get into the rhythm of things. The narrator's voice was very easy to understand as well - I think some people whine because they don't hear girls' voices ever. ;)

I'd prefer to hear someone explain the important things and point them out in the video. "There on the left, you can see Putricide throw a Chocking Gas Bomb...", etc...
@jefferson6655 pretty much, depends on the strategy, just remember not to step on the orange potion vials on the ground, because they will put a debuff on you that lowers your hit chance by 75%, and that means terrible dps
What was the avarage ranged/melee dps for this encounter? Im currently MM spec working with agi gemmed arp gear, and switching between ads and boss Im lucky to break 5k for the over all fight. (Malfurion-Json)
@dmorlan I dont understand how the audio can be too low for you even with hearing aids. I can hear her perfectly fine on low volume. If I turned the volume to full it would be so loud my ears would hurt.

Did a great job just a few things that bugged me a bit. I'm a tank for starters and I'm in the abom most of the time and we've been giving him a few shots and I decided to see what was up for the transition between p2 and p3. You kept losing the abom out of the video a lot so I couldn't see how he was doing it very well. For a few seconds it looked like he stopped eating slime to attack the boss? did he really do that? Why? And grats on the kill =D
I got a question about putricide. During the fight I had to be the abonimation to control the slime pools, even though I was spamming eat ooze the room quickly filled up with slime. How can I control the slime better? plz help
If you tank him exacly where green oze aperes you can dps him with the Big fester wanna be offtank thing.. and you just nuke green ooze when he comes . helps alot and the big offtank thing deals about 7k dps.. You can pick upp slime puddles and dps at same time

Honestly, since those "bugged encounter" rumors popped up, most advanced guilds haven't even bothered to use their attempts until there was some sort of confirmation by Blizzard. Now that it's clear the fight is working as intended I'm sure many guilds will get their feet wet and we'll see quite some kills.
@fte999 Nah we've changed to 2 healers for most stuff by now. This was first week of release so we're always a little more cautious. Did Putri hard mode with 2 healers yesterday, makes it go a lot faster.
@mage505 agreed. they were hard enough that you couldn't come in with crappy gear, but easy enough that you could expect to succeed on them even if the rest of ICC was too hard.

This girl has a very monotone voice so I find that because her voice is soothing, i get lost when shes talking about what to do and I find myself replaying the same parts over and over again. I agree with overcast
it seems to me like the tank in here moves prof p around a lot..my raid group complains when i do that so i use two points on the center of the ground and go back and forth. once one of the oozes comes out you go to the side it originates in so once the ooze is killed all dps has some time to unload on him. hope this helps
@heuythizzlle there is a free recording software called hypercam 2.0 which records both sound and video but... its a major resource hog, so make sure you have a computer capable ti run it. You can just google it

Awesome guide, what is that addon that changes the look of your tooltips? When you mouseover something it looks better than the blizz default.

Is that just at max view distance for the camera or an addon to zoom out further?

@frederiks95 Its called grid its very usefull but has alot of features. So try to slowly work into using them.
